Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Union City

My experience today at Applebee's was not a good one. I was however seated very quickly but I was seated next to a window where there were flies all over each window. Just buzzing around hanging out. I started trying to swat the flies away with the menu but they just kept coming. I let the waitress know that we would like to move and she politely let us know that all of her tables were against the window as if to say she didn't want to give us to any other waitress so we would have to sit in her area and deal with the flies. I was not happy about that. We sat tight for a few more minutes and ordered a couple of drinks from the bar. The drinks came to the table and my drink tasted like sour orange juice was used in the drink. We decided to go ahead and place the order while still killing flies. We ordered food but we ordered the boneless wings as an appetizer. When the waitress bought the wings to the table one of the boneless wings look like someone smashed it with their finger. I was appalled at the fact that the presentation was horrible and the waitress proceeded to put it on the table as if nothing was wrong. When I said something to her about it she picked it up with attitude and took it away to the kitchen. We decided to leave this restaurant so I did give a small tip because in the beginning the waitress was nice but I questioned the food quality, my table was sticky, and the flies were non-stop. it was just a bad experience at this location. I should have known better since there were just about no cars in the parking lot and no customers in the restaurant. I'm just visiting from another state so I'll likely never go back to this Applebee's ever again anyway but if I did live locally I would never patronize this restaurant. The waitress was so rude. She completely ruined my 7th anniversary meal. It took forever to order our food and even get our drinks. She would just run to the table drop off napkins that we never asked for and run off. Never even giving us time to ask if we could go ahead and order our food. When after almost an hour of waiting She finally took our order, when I was in the middle of asking my husband if he wanted chips and queso She just ran off so we just let go of even ordering that. I would completely understand sort of if the restaurant was packed and busy, however it was just us and 1 other table. So basically there was no excuse for her abundantly rudeness and pure total laziness. We never received refills even after asking when we got our meals. We drank our drinks before our meals even came out and was still not given refills. It took forever to even order our food and to receive our food.. The guy that brought our food out wasn't even our waitress. We were even brought out an empty ketchup bottle. The table behind us was dirty the entire time, giving the ants and flies something to eat. When I walked back to the bathroom I noticed our neglect was due to the waitress being to stuck on her phone. There was ants crawling on my booth and dead bugs all in the window and some on the table. The waitress had black hair, young, and white mostly rude and should have called in that day to stay on her phone. She could have at least used her time wisely and helped cleaned the restaurant...or at least done her job and took care of us. We spent $50 I wish we took our date to mcdonalds instead at least it is clean at mcdonalds and they do their job. Will never go back, and basically will let everyone that will listen about...

Walked in after Sunday morning church. Not much business inside so I thought we would get in pretty quick. I was wrong. They were short staffed which was alright but they could have seated us at least. After about 20 minutes we finally got seated. Drinks came out pretty quick the food order took about 40 minutes. Business still was slow. We got the food which didn't look good and didn't taste good either.The guy that brought out food looked as if he was on something. I would have rather eaten at McDonald's and that place is terrible. Barely got a refill which I had to ask for. I could hear the ruckus of other customers whose orders came out wrong. Looking around there was a haze of smoke out in the seating area I felt like I was at a KISS concert without the excitement. There were ceiling tiles missing and the flood lights were hanging with exposed wires. The bathroom was nasty and smelled of fecal matter, toilet paper was bombarding the floor. No soap and the faucet didn't work and that's just the ladies room. The men's room had two mixed matched faucets the floor was greasy and the paper towel dispenser's battery was dead so no towels. There was a pitcher of beer on the table behind us I can only assume belonged to a worker. This place made me feel like a prisoner looking for an escape which is what I did I asked for the check which was overpriced for what it was and what we experienced. I could have had a better dining experience in a dumpster. I was hoping to steer a couple of misguided souls away from this place on my escape but no one was arriving I wonder why? JK not really.
