I will start by saying the positive reviews are likely mostly fake, as I've never had a good experience here.
Unfortunately I will always have a romantic view of Chipotle for what they once were, so I will likely keep going now and again and being burned. Where to start?
The workers are rude almost always. I can somewhat forgive this one as they seem overworked, but that should NOT be acceptable behavior.
-The portions are all over the place sometimes it's way too much of an ingredient, others, they try to barely fill the bowl.
-They prioritize online orders. So if ingredients are short, they will give them to the online orders and tell you tough luck. On these occasions, just threaten to walk out and they will give you the stuff they claim they can't. Maybe I'm the problem here, but If I'm ordering a chicken burrito and you fail to tell me you can't put cheese on it PRIOR to starting the order while simultaneously there's a big thing of cheese behind you, I'm absolutely leaving every time.
-Ingredients constantly out of stock. One time I went in there, and they told me there were out of cups. On several occasions, I was told they were out of rice... at opening. How is it even possible for a business to be run so bad? At one point, I just had to laugh at how ridiculous it was.
I could write a book on the horrid experiences I've had at this Chipotle (the other one on Beachmont isn't any better). I will end with this though, this store should be used as a case study for what not to do when running a restaurant. I don't think things will be improving any time soon. Unfortunately, I see the same managers consistently at the two we have here in Anderson, which means corporate (or the regional manager) is unwilling to fire them or at least demote. It's nothing personal against them as I've interacted with them on many occasions, but they clearly just don't know how to operate a restaurant even at the basics.
Advice to owners: Bring managers who understand Schedule management and inventory management. If they could just figure these two things out, Curritos might not be getting my lunch money 5...
Read moreI made an online order to pickup at this location, I normally pickup at the Eastgate location but I had to get a few things at Target so I figured this would be closer. Got my items from Target and headed across the parking lot to Chipotle, I walked in ready to pick up my order. I didn't see my order on the rack so the manager making the pickup orders asked me my name, so I gave it to her. She went to the back area and looked at the computer and said "i don't have an order for that name". Confused I thought maybe I played it to my normal location and double checked my phone, nope the address is correct and I showed her my confirmation. She barely looked at my phone before she said "well I don't have it". An awkward silence for a few seconds and I asked "okay so what happens now? I ordered this, got a confirmation number and it's to your store." Not showing any sympathy She says "well I don't have the order so I can't make it, nothing I can do." At this point I'm getting upset because I've never had this issue in the several times I've place a pickup order at my normal store. So I finally said "well if I can't get the order made...even though I paid for it....and have a confirmation number right here....I would like to cancel the order." To which she replied that I had to call the customer service line or try through the app, fine I get it. But the way she said it where she did not care at all is what made me even more upset.
To sum this up, I worked at Chipotle before and I know this woman was a manager because of the shirt she wore. I also know that they can 100% do a "manager comp" for make it right situations such as this. So for her to not even offer to make it was ridiculous.
I will never go to this location again,...
Read morePast few visits have been absolutely horrible. Several items not available or "out of" not even near end of business day. Last visit lacking so many items I got what my daughter wanted and I chose not to eat. The food is inconsistent often way too salty to even eat. Lacking staff and lacking initiative to take care of the customers when are there. Poorly ran. I've heard down the street the Anderson town center is nothing like this, nor have I experienced any problems like this location at Eastgate location. Highly unlikely to ever return to this one. Keep thinking maybe they got it together between visits and try again. I've put my hand on the burner too many times. Every visit as long as I can remember now has been a bad experience in some manor.
Once again chose this location 3/26/23 My daughter ordered using app. Was supposed to be a 1210 pickup, wasn't ready until 1225. Customers walking in after myself went though line and got out faster which made zero sense. The gentleman in front of me was there for a 1200 pickup and was still waiting when I walked out with mine. Absolutely the worst ran restaurant I've ever been too. Got home and found food name in bag didn't match my daughter's name on bag. A trip back to get her correct food.
If you plan to visit expect disappointment. They are always out of something in food line and the service is horrible. Definitely worth a mile drive to one in Anderson town center. We will never return to this location...
