As a regular customer, I’m extremely disappointed with my recent experience at your store. I come in almost every morning, and today I asked a simple question: whether the patties were still hot. I asked because on several occasions, I’ve received them either cold or with the beef clumped in the middle.
Instead of answering respectfully, the staff member turned to me with a condescending tone and said, “Yuh think a stale patty we sell?” found this incredibly unprofessional. There are many ways to respond to a customer’s concern, such as simply explaining that the oven might be running too high or too low. There was no need for sarcasm or attitude.
I then ordered porridge, and before I could even finish or indicate whether I wanted anything else, she walked away. When I received the patty and broke it open, it was exactly how I had described before, barely warm and the beef clumped together. I turned to her and calmly said, “This is what I was trying to explain earlier.” She responded by raising her voice and speaking to me with even more attitude. I tried to keep my cool, but at that point, it became impossible to ignore the blatant disrespect.
I’ve supported this business consistently. I’ve brought my entire office here, and just last week, I spent up to $120 in one visit. And yet, I was made to feel as though my loyalty meant nothing.
To top it off, there wasn’t even a simple “good morning” or “hello” when I walked in, just immediate attitude. Read moreThis was my first time at this location and I won’t be coming back. The customer service was horrible. The woman at the front was very dismissive and seemed annoyed that I was asking her questions about the menu. The food was also not great. I love oxtails and despite the rave reviews, these oxtails were flavorless. Plus they only gave me about 3-4 pieces and piled a whole bunch of rice onto my plate. Also make sure to bring cash because they will charge you if you pay with a debit/credit card no matter how much you spend.
This is a follow up based on the owner's response to my message. It is truly a shame that customers cannot leave their honest reviews about their personal experiences without being criticized. To the owner--your response was completely unwarranted and unprofessional. Furthermore, your response is completely inaccurate and I am 100% positive you have me confused with another customer. I happened to be driving down the road when I spotted your restaurant and decided to support your business so there is no way I called you in advance because I never knew you existed prior to that day. There was also no other customers present when I placed my order. An appropriate response as a new business in the area is not to bash someone for simply expressing themselves or to get so defensive. Read moreSo yesterday was my birthday, and I was craving Cowfoot. I stopped by Sashay's my fourth patronage in two weeks. I had my cow feet with white rice and veggies. HBD to me....YUM! The food is extremely delicious, from the entrees to the patties, beverages, breakfast, etc., they are on point. Portions sizes are great, staff are courteous. My only complaint is that while there's a sign for the restrooms, they are not accessible. After dining in, I waited more than 10 minutes to relieve myself with the promise of access only to eventually leave without using the facilities. Another prior instance, I was there for breakfast. A woman from Uber Eats was picking up an order. The Uber Eats lady was fidgety and begged to use the bathroom and was DENIED. She retrieved the order and left. Shortly after, a gentleman in construction garb came in, ordered a patty, and asked to use the restroom to wash his hands...oddly enough he was given access. SMH. Please review your policy.
