I donât usually leave reviews, but after todayâs experience, I feel like this needs to be said.
Jade, who was working the front counter, seriously needs to work on her customer service skills. I walked in with my sister while my mom was still coming in behind us. Jade greeted us, and we greeted her back. Totally normal. We were looking at the menu and once my mom joined us, she was getting her Starbucks app ready to use her stars for our order⊠literally a matter of 30 seconds. Just as we were about to place the first drink order, Jade very rudely cut off my sister and loudly said, âHELLO?!â with the kind of attitude that made it seem like we were bothering her.
From that moment on, the entire ordering process felt rushed and uncomfortable. After each of us ordered, all we got in return was a âOK, what else?â âŠ.no warmth, no patience. When she was done ringing us up, she handed us the receipt and just said, âAlright, weâll have it out,â with a sour look on her face. It honestly felt like she was annoyed we even came in.
While we waited, we noticed there was only one girl making drinks, working hard, while Jade and another employee stood off to the side, laughing, on their phones, and talking loudly about random things like âpaying child supportâ completely unprofessional and unnecessary in front of customers.
Another man came in during this time and, shockingly, Jade gave him the same treatment. He was in the middle of ordering, and she again interrupted him with an exasperated âUGH, HELLO?!â and then laughed in his face like it was a joke. It was honestly embarrassing and frustrating to witness.
This whole experience left a really bad impression of this Starbucks location. The vibes were completely off, the customer service was uncomfortable and borderline disrespectful, and it felt like customers were more of an inconvenience to Jade than anything else. I hope someone in management sees this and addresses her behavior because if this is how she treats people regularly, itâs completely...
Read moreI am a huge Starbuck's fan. I stop several times a month and it is usually one of my favorite parts of the day. Not this morning! Instead it put me in a terrible mood and taking my business elsewhere.
Having driven an hour in traffic while eight and half months pregnant to the Starbuck's location (on Delmar in Saint Louis) the first thought on my mind was using the restroom. When trying to find the restroom I saw no clear markings of a bathroom. Only one door with a code box. I then asked one of the employee's do you have a restroom. I was completely ignored. I then asked louder. "Excuse me, Do you have a restroom". The response... "Do you have your receipt?". I of course said "I'm sorry. I am looking for a bathroom?". I was then told not so kindly that the code to restroom prints on the receipt. I explained I would like to use the bathroom before ordering. At this point my displeasure is becoming clear. I blame my hormones, but I was on the verge of tears. "I would like to use the bathroom before ordering".
Am I the only one this makes sense to? Remember I am 8.5 months pregnant. Also if order then go to the restroom am I supposed to carry my food and coffee in there with me?
When I express my displeasure with the policy the employees response is. "I'm sorry, but if I make an exception for you then I have to make an exception for everyone". My thoughts on that...as you should. I don't care if it an 8.5 month pregnant woman, a potty training toddler, a senior citizen, or the local homeless guy. Using a restroom should be a right now a privilege. If you choose to do business in the area then you should be willing to support the...
Read morePoor service. Third time the same cashier guy with round glasses and braded long hair messed up my order. It's like he doesn't want to hear customizations. He doesn't care to hear what people want in their drink, but pretends and presses on the touch screen without verbally confirming individuals' orders. He rang up the wrong drink, also didn't even add what I had asked for. Barista made the drinks. I told the guy that took my order -it's not what I had ordered, he had a silent attitude. He walked away amid my explaining, leaving the poor barista hanging. I left as a unhappy customer, again. I didn't feel like taking it on with the barista, it wasn't her fault that the guy had rang it up wrong. Plus, I'm a local here, and she looked like she came from another store to help out.
Overall, Starbucks hired an incompetent stuck up staff member. This is a busy touristy area. My professional background experience is working closely with people. Unfortunately Starbucks corp. doesn't have a clue that round glasses with braided hair is the slick culprit of creating a poor work environment, for the entire crew at this location. Oh by the way, I also go here in the mornings and he allows people to smoke on the patio during the morning hours. It's time get a handle on this store again, Starbucks. Send up several management leader quality staff members to this location for a clean up,...
