---.."Where are the napkins, ever?"../---
So... I got a meal and also a couple small breakfast sandwiches. Twenty two dollars... What? Hmm. . . . Ok. . . Well, thats irritating, but I guess it's acceptable. Oops..
But, then, I have to wait around ten minutes. Hmmm..... If i can listen to multiple songs in the car at the drive thru, it's been a little bit too long , probably.
Then i find out I didn't get the sauce (bbq) i asked for, just lots of ranch. Ok....
Then i realize.. Oh, no napkins again. Must be corporate policy. I know they cost a ton, those small, rough bits of paper... Gotta save five cents on napkins to make bigger Jack in the Box profits.
Soda was.. eh, kinda off in some subtle way; seemed bland. Maybe the ice just melted and its was blending into the drink because it had enough time at the drive thru to do that. It could slowly blend itself in with the sugar water until the became one forgettable new genres of Coca Cola. It was still, somehow, the tastiest thing i ordetes -- and I even tried to get a large Curly fries, too! --- but, unfortunately, the cup of fries was kinda not-big AT ALL. Kinda generally not-big. So that was disappointing. Im pretty darn hefty, it's true, I'll admit it; but im not THAT fat. I didn't gobbke the fries. They probably just gave me the bare minimum of 10 cent fries n grease in a cup, and called it good.
Annoying.
Individually, all these complaints are ignorable, but it's THAT kinda, 'cutting-corners-attitude,' that makes me easily decide to never go back--- despite the tasty & greasy breakfast food and despite the fun & cheap little tacos that haven't changed price since ever.
I'll miss the place, but it's not fast food. Nor is it cheap. Nor was my soda legit. In fact maybe it was just really sweet brown water. I don't know. Maybe it was leftover from the water given to barn animals. I guess the animals aren't properly managed. But, I dont know for sure, I didn't ask.
Probably cost them a couple bucks to make all the food. Seriously. It wasnt much food. They're ripping people off like crazy, I would guess.
I also dislike when they say, "We'll have your total at the window." Why? Is there no time to do that at the screen with the items already appearing on that little machine in front of the menu? Why is it even there, then? For what purpose is it even built? Is it just for show? Is it to seem more McDonald's-ish? No time to tell me how much I'll owe till it's too late?
Sure, I ordered it, that's true; but there's also decency and politeness -- the ordering screen with an amount owed represents that, but it's all just for show. It's not used as implied. Ok... Uh.... Well that sucks. I know, i know, if i don't like it, i shouldn't go there. Well, I won't. And, this us a review site, so im reviewing. I just mostly dont like the, 'skimp jn every possible way and leave the customer not-TOO-upset to say anything.' Cuz that would be rude , right? Watery cola? Sounds petty to say anything, right? Sure, and they know that! THAT is the point: a million not-quiiiite-rude ways to sell cheap food, badly.
I went to McDonald's in Tacoma recently and it literally took 10 seconds after i ordered to get my food. Seriously, 10 seconds. Why? I mean, if they can do it, why can't a small, expensive order take less than 10 minutes? ...and for paying over 20 bucks, I should get all the items correct. And napkins. And napkins!!
Twenty bucks and I should be covered for the weekend for fast food. Or, close to covered. Not one short, dirty,...
Read moreI've never been a big fan of the food at jack in the box. It's always been too greasy for my liking so I usually stay away from ordering (plus they are actually kinda pricey) however.... The other night my kids REALLY wanted jack in the box so being the nice mother I am I agreed. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich meal with a oreo shake and I was pleasantly surprised. The chicken was SO GOOD I ate the entire thing and trust me that never happens. We tried the new redbull drink and it was good.. I wish we would have gotten the strawberry one but it wasn't bad at all just not as sweet as I like. Milkshake was on point like always and the kids both liked their food. The girl working was also super sweet which is rare nowadays. She let us stay in and finish eating after the lobby closed (we got there like fifteen minutes before the lobby was going to close), she gave us personal recommendations without any eye rolling or sighs of annoyance, and she even gave me my money back for the curly fries that we didn't eat because they were too crunchy. She didn't get annoyed at my 4 year old for being loud or running around It was awesome. It's been a long time since we've had a good experience with the employees at any fast food place or grocery store or anywhere for that matter. I wish I looked at her name tag but I didn't..she was blonde very soft spoken and sweet. We will definitely be back! Thanks for the great customer...
Read moreJack's needs to step up its game in two areas: customer service & ordering correct volume of product for the location. Been witness to poor customer service events at Jacks UP last two visits. Once we arrived and waited in line behind elderly gentleman who called out three times for assistance to place order while the clerk was waiting drive thru. Instead of an apology from the clerk when he said he had been waiting 10mins, she told him that wasnt true and that he was acting in a threatening demeanor that she didnt appreciate. Instead of taking his order so she could wait on the other 6 people in line she felt the need to try to defend herself and tell him she was very good at customer service and gets compliments all the time. The rest of the customers in line felt helpless, including one who had been waiting for his order the entire time and one man behind us who left during the argument. We waited patiently for 8more mins for our order only because they serve breakfast after noon. The food was fresh and hot or the visit would have been our last. Too many visits to same location when they have said they were out of certain food choices. Teriaki bowl in particular. A kind apology to the 75+yr old man and maybe an offer to comp his coffee would have gone a long way to control the service situation. "Jack" may have a big head but his customer service people should...
