Upon dining today I found a small black bug in my burrito bowl. It was very small and had very tiny legs and a yellow spot. My husband went to let the manager know, to see if we could just get a new bowl. As I can understand that things happen, we were not yelling at the workers in any way. Simply asking for a new bowl, as I no longer wanted to eat lunch with a bug in it.
The manager, Consuela insisted that it was in fact cilantro. She went so far as to pull out their cilantro to show us what it looked like. I am a cook and know what cilantro is. My husband then took out his phone flashlight to highlight the yellow spot on the bug (which cilantro does not have the last time I checked), and the small legs. She then proceeded to take a photo of the bug to zoom in and did not even focus her camera - so her photo was blurry - of course you wouldn't be able to make out it was a bug in that case. Absolutely insane. I had to laugh out loud at that point, at the completely absurd and incompetent way of handling the situation.
How hard would it be to apologize and offer a new meal to a customer? They are lucky that we did not come at them yelling and making a big deal to begin with - we were very understanding and just pointing out that there was in fact a bug in the food. Most people would be horrified by that and make a huge deal.
Instead the manager continued to berate us angrily and refuse that we were correct in that it was a bug and only wanted to argue. The way she spoke to us was as if we were idiots and insane to think it was a bug. I have never been spoken to so rudely and disrespectfully as a customer. She refused to offer any assistance and should absolutely not be a manager at a chipotle. As she refused to resolve the problem and instead intimidated customers. How she got to a management position is beyond me. But with her interpersonal skills I am sure she will never move forward from being a fast food worker.
Do not go to this Chipotle, or any really as no one is being helpful in resolving this matter. It should not pass any health inspection and is run by incompetent, ignorant employees. If you enjoy bugs in your food though and managers yelling at you, then this is the...
Read moreWalked in to the Kingsdale location on my way home from work. I ordered a bowl what I didn’t order with my bowl was a nasty attitude and a disrespectful manager. This manager named Maddie was super unprofessional. I know she was bilingual because I speak Spanish, but I was talking in English and she thought I didn’t speak Spanish. I heard the way she talk to me once I ordered my food and left. I know she called me really nasty names in Spanish my daughter’s friend works at this chipotle as well she’s told me things about this manager and how she treats her employees as well. I feel like y’all need to get on this manager because what she’s doing is unacceptable The first thing she’s doing is treating customers with terrible attitudes and bad mouthing us in Spanish. The second thing is my friend had an incident where she threatened to have her hours cut because she called off and was sick. I’m pretty sure you’re not allowed to go in to work when you’re sick no matter where you work this manager also threatens people to come in on their days off, has conversations with employees who aren’t scheduled and forces them to come into work even when they have enough people to do that shift (night shift) I also heard that she doesn’t do anything and she just sits around and has other people do all of her work for her when I was there last time I asked for corporate‘s number from an employee who was sitting at a table, I didn’t get her name, but she gave me the number I called corporate on someone named Amanda picked up. The phone she was also super disrespectful. Didn’t act like she knew what she was doing at all I don’t know what chipotle’s ideal worker or situation for employees is, but I know this isn’t it and I will say my friend is planning on quitting very soon because of what she’s doing to her and my daughters friend has made the store a better location and has been recognized a lot. If she quits I will no longer be coming to the store because I will in support of her decision and the way you treat your customers and your employees is beyond disgraceful, and you will lose a customer and an employee of these disrespectful women are not dealt...
Read moreI WAS PHYSICALLY INJURED AT THIS LOCATION - Simply put, I would give this Chipotle a negative star review, if it were possible. On August 8th, 2022, I was in the store picking up a DoorDash order. As I was exiting (towards the back door of the restaurant), an employee haphazardly swung open the service door that leads to the restaurants kitchen and preparation space. He hit me so hard with it, it left an intial large red mark (pictured) and hurt so bad, it made me cry. The employee did not even have the decency to make sure I was okay and continued on his way without even saying anything to me, except a less-than heartfelt "sorry". I then attempted to speak to a manager, not to get anyone in trouble, but to let the manager know, so an incident like this did not happen again. She handled this absolutely HORRIBLY and UNPROFESSIONALLY to say the least. She began to blame me and started to suggest that I was the reason the injury was inflicted. Her attitude when she came out to speak to me was immediately hostile and she never asked me during our interaction if I was okay, even after showing her photographic and IN-PERSON evidence that I had a mark on my body. She proceeded to tell me that the reason I got hit by this door was because I was "going out the wrong door". If you are familiar with this location, you know the door that leads to the kitchen is right in front of a seating area. You also pass this door to go to the restrooms. I explained to her that if the back door is unlocked and unmarked to say otherwise, it is a door that any customer should be able to enter and exit through. I was absolutely baffled by the lack of consideration during this whole encounter. While this might be the worst experience I've had at this Chipotle, it's not the only one. The manager at this store is the reason why Chipotle is going to lose a large customer base at...
