I have been enjoying Empire diner since i was a kid, matter of fact of been enjoying it since it was the Blue comet before it became Empire Diner. They usually serve the best Montreal seasoned Prime Rib steak i’ve ever had and it always comes searing perfect and is tender to the slice. I love their Collard Green Soup on Sundays and they are especially noted for having the best pastry desert selection, their oreo cake and strawberry shortcake really complement a meal. The waitresses are always the nicest and i return the favor of being nice back to them especially since they take good care of everything i need and ask for. I’ve never really had a complaint everytime i’ve gone so i’ve never really had to ever complain to the store owner or manager. As far as I’m concerned they do a decent job of keeping the place up and making good dinner meals for me. Breakfast time can be a little hectic on sundays because the church folk sometimes don’t have manners and some sunday church folk try and be cheap on sunday dinner and expect to have red table hours long discussions after their meal about wearing their badges of honour. You can BYOB of alcohol and enjoy it here, i’ve certainly brought Allagash myself and enjoyed my steak with it. They offer a booth section, counter section and table area section, there’s also the banquet style overflow section in the back but usually it’s for busy days like sunday. I’ve always enjoyed the business that Issan and his son Engin have set up and kept running for year, and the regular crowds agree that he takes good care of regular customers. They have a TV in each section that plays ESPN and local NEWS sometimes. The lighting is perfectly bright enough to see your meal and enjoy your tables of smiles. The bowl of Soups are the perfect small/quick meal if your in a hurry for a fast meal. Their coffee is Lacas brand and it will keep you wide awake for 6-8 hours, i’ve made the dumb mistake before of being tempted to drink a cup a night because i know how delicious their coffee is and had been up until 4am, the stuff works and they brew it perfectly in their steam brewer machines. Hands down i’m so lucky they are literally a walking distance away from where i live and i enjoy going there for...
Read moreHey guys so here's the thing I really like to stress that I have been frequently over the years going back and forth to this place since I was like probably like 9 a little girl so I went here for my birthday yesterday the experience was kind of Bittersweet for me even though I do love how management handle the situation and accommodated me so here's the thing me and my boyfriend went to dinner and we both made orders my boyfriend got his meal me all I got was a salad so I was very confused and I asked him to ask the waitress what happened to my Food and when he asked her she told him well actually no she turned around and told me that I said oh no scratch my meal that I ordered which I never did and he witnessed that I didn't say that n she said that's what she thought so I waited that whole time for my food and I didn't know she didn't even put in the order so after all of this I was a bit upset I had already been planning on getting a cake from the Empire because that's one of the things I've always loved about Empire over the years is that they definitely do have very good cakes. But because of the experience of me being very hungry even though I might look like it I'm not just a salad eating girl and I've been disappointed that out of all days my birthday was the day that things got screwed up so I appreciated how management offer to write happy birthday with my name on top of the cake for me as well as gave me an extra slice of cake for the inconvenience and their attitude was just very accommodating and I appreciated that because I know I definitely know what it feels like to have bad experiences at places where I'm spending my money and I feel like that's a slap in the face and I flat in my pockets also guys I definitely. Was a little slightly disappointed at first but I do appreciate how they accommodated and made sure that my day wasn't a complete flop and I appreciated that by the way guys get a cake from them their cakes are...
Read moreThe day after the holiday Weekend for Memorial Day and after all the grilling and entertaining fam & friends- nobody wanted to cook 🍳 breakfast 😢 So, we ordered from Empire... ✔ 3 orders of fresh toast, fish & grits, waffles 🧇 & turkey bacon 🥓 eggs & cheese, some fancy pancakes🥞 I can't remember the name 😋home fries w/ peppers & onions- cooked well and oh yeah...cheese cake bc they have a huuuge bakery. Everything was on point, delicious, great flavor - provided plenty of plates, forks, knives & napkins. Plenty of parking. And we picked up bc they were soooo busy the GrubHub couldn't take the order, we called and they said pick up in 15 min. Wow, great bc everybody's hungry!! The cost moderate - what you'd expect to pay tallied per person. We saved bout $6 on delivery.✔But we'll I didn't pay, somebody else did. I placed the order... but still I'm trying to learn to be more frugal NOT cheap...there is a difference. I once heard that men with money (wealth) 💰are so bc they're "frugal". But as a woman I like my own money (too) 😉 so I'm practicing 'frugality'. Let's see what...
