Was looking for a quick lunch spot before heading to NY and decided to try Yocco's after seeing signs on I-78. This is a 'CASH ONLY' place. There are several locations and this location has a cool, retro vibe with a drive thru too. Staff were super welcoming, restaurant & bathrooms were really clean and the service was surprisingly quick given everything was made to order. We got two Yocco's Hot Dogs with everything, a beef sausage sandwich with everything and a small (2 pieces) order of pierogies. The beef hot dogs and the beef sausage were cooked perfectly with the great balance of seasonings, toppings and condiments (hot dog with onion, mustard & Yocco chili sauce and sausage with stewed onions, sweet peppers, mustard & Yocco chili sauce) so the bread held up well. The pierogies were fried to golden perfection - crispy, salty crust with warm, creamy potato filling inside. There's also burger, chicken, fish, steak sandwiches and options for kids as well. So glad we stopped, my picky hot dog loving husband declared Yocco's the best hot dog...
Read moreI won't pretend that this food is quality food. It's not but I think its delicious! This is old fashioned, cheap heartburn fast food that is locally owned and actually fresher than fastfood chains. Is it kinda gross and messy? Yes. Will it give you heartburn? I can almost guarantee it! But man oh man, their dogs are killer! Don't be put off by the pics of the dogs. If you are looking for some sort of gormet hot dog then go to Five Guys or something. This is classic cheap eats American dining. The combo of onions, brown mustard and their supurb chili makes these dogs one of a kind! We all have some kind of guilty pleasure gross food. For me its Yocco's dogs. They make a great cheesesteak too! I am glad I live far from these places because I would be eating here all the time hahaha. I actually prefer the Allentown location over this one, tastes a little better, but points for this one having a drive-thru! Long live Yocco's and locally...
Read moreFrom out of town, vacationed up in Allentown at the staybridge. Placed a big order and the woman had a hard time hearing me over the order speaker. From there it only gets worse, placing a big order and I think my wife and I counted 3 times that the window was closed on me (while I was in the middle of the order) paid for the order and didn’t get any change back, even though I was due 5$. I knocked on the window twice and kept being shushed and the rude woman held up a finger telling me to wait. Parked and finally the food was brought out, I proceeded to ask if everything was in the bag...it wasn’t. I then called the establishment and explained the issue, they brought the rest of the food out, except were still missing two items. I called for the third time and finally got all of our food (meanwhile there was a huge line behind us.)
After all that, I’m sorry but I’ve had better chili cheese dogs. Won’t be going back.
Delicious...
