Salvatore’s Trattoria & Pizzeria — Restaurant in Upper Merion Township

After many recommendations from a Facebook group, my girlfriend and I tried Salvatore’s tonight! I placed an over the phone pick up order for a large cheese pizza with broccoli and an order of fries with cheese on the side. The woman I spoke to on the phone was personable and attentive to my order. As soon as I walked in the door, I was greeted from one of the workers. I was very early to pick up so I did wait a few minutes, but this was my own fault as they said 20 minutes and I was already on route from work. While I waited, I saw amazing customer service to other patrons in the restaurant, like they’ve known them for years. I decided to order a cannoli to go as well because my girlfriend loves them. Once we finally did a “cheers” with our pizza slice, we dug into our food. The pizza was very good and not overly greasy at all. The broccoli was a good size and not soggy. I do wish that there was more broccoli on top, but that is not a big deal. The fries were your average pizza place fries, but the cheese made it! I am from Canada and had the awesome opportunity to order from here and everything was delicious and the fact that they give you a cannoli with your dinner is awesome; it is the perfect size for a touch of sweetness after your meal. I had penne with the best meatballs I have tasted in a long time and their sauce is fantastic. Sal and Joanne are wonderful people to talk with and I hope to one day soon meet them but I spoke to both of them on the phone. I have Italian Rum Cake made my Joanne and it was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend them and have to quite a few of the guests here. One lady, on the 31st, came looking for me to thank me for referring her to them because she actually ate in the restaurant and gave me a raving report on the people, the food, the atmosphere, etc. She said she was sorry she was leaving the next day as she would love to go back and will then time she is in town. Another guest thanked me for giving him their menu because he had ravioli and he said he really really enjoyed it! Pizza and lasagna are delicious. Service was wonderful and delivery was quick. I highly recommend and I will be ordering again soon.

September 17, 2021 I would like to add to my review. You were given a five star rating and I still stand by it. But, I just ordered a pizza and penne ala vodka which I have eaten all over and this is the first time it has been spicy. It was so spicy I could hardly eat it and I am going to throw it away. I called to ask if the spice level I received was normal and they put me on hold and returned to tell me yes. I said, there is nothing on your menu that states this is a spicy dish. I was told when you order it again make sure that you tell them not spicy. No apologies!! Do you consider that good customer service? The proper thing to do would be to apologize and offer to replace it or credit my next order. I just want you to know that you LOST A REGULAR CUSTOMER AND TWO STARS! I used to order from you often. I spent $40 and I will not be ordering anything from you ever again! My advice to the owner train your staff on...
