I kid you not. This place has rats or mice BEHIND THE LIQUOR BAR. Today on a Friday night dated 10/13/2023 at 945pm my friend and I came in to get drinks at the bar and decided grab some food while we were there. Everything went smoothly the servers were nice and the food was pretty decent. As the restaurant is preparing to close my friend and I decided to get one more drink. The store started to clear out and less traffic from customers started to thin out and as we are finishing up our drinks I literally see a rat come from underneath the stand where all the liquor is displayed. At first I thought my eyes decided me and then I started hearing squeaking of MULTIPLE RATS COMING FROM UNDERNEATH THE LIQUOR DISPLAY! As the waiter behind the bar is coming to cash us out I informed him that there was a rat behind the bar he instantly became in denial with out even checking out what I was telling him. I told him LOOKK! As one rat scurried across the ground. The waiter totally looked dumbfound collected my friends card and still proceeded to charge us for the food. At that moment I walked out of the store because I did not want to cause a scene. My friend stayed behind and literally told me his only response after charging her card was “Oh……they are really fast”. I am a proud military member and on top of that i stand on righteousness. I have no reason to lie this. This indeed happened tonight and I suggest anyone who eats at this restaurant STOP EATING HERE IMMEDIATELY BECAUSE THIS PLACE HAS RATS! I will be contacting the health department first thing Monday morning because that whole experience was traumatizing. The way what server responded definitely is a clear giveaway that they know they have a rat problem and by the sounds of those squeaks it is definitely an...
Read moreI’ve been debating whether or not to leave a review, because we love the food so much. However, last night was one for the books! We dine here often or get take out. Let me preface by saying I always, no matter the quality of service start a tip at 20%. I used to be a server and understand how tipping works, etc. our service was subpar at best, but the foods great so whatever. We get our bill, the server opens it shows us and closes it quick. It was $80.00 total, my husband handed them 4 20s and a 10, expecting change back so we could tip the correct amount (probably a $20 bill) but we were still finishing our drinks so we had some time to sit before leaving. A new server walks over asks how everything was, we said great! He chuckled, handed us the bill and ALL of the money back and said “well your tip wasn’t even 15%!” And walked away This change wasn’t our tip - we specifically asked for the change back When we told the waiter that wasn’t our tip and we asked for the change back he chuckled and literally stuck his tongue out at us. I am so confused and just disgusted and I see this is a recurring theme based on other reviews. In the end, they cheated themselves out of the 20%+ we normally would give, since you’re so adamant on 15% It was so awkward and uncomfortable not to mention we hadn’t finished our drinks yet so the awkwardness continued as we finished them . Disappointed to say the least. We also were concerned over the bill as we are now seeing reviews that they automatically. Tack on 20% without customers knowledge. Just avoid this place from now on, if you’re looking for a...
Read moreMy fiancé and I went to Wild Rice last night, as we had never been. The ambiance was nice; the sleek decor and dim lighting made for a very comfortable experience. Our waiter was polite, but not exceptional.
They serve alcohol, which my fiancé was excited about. He ordered a mai tai, which was, confusingly, made with amaretto. The amaretto overpowered the taste of the drink completely, and it had a syrupy quality to it. He later ordered a hot sake, which was good.
The food was borderline inedible. We ordered steamed pork dumplings, sesame chicken, and the sashimi platter. The pork dumplings were very doughy and weirdly dry on the outside. The inside was liquidy, but the filling overall was fine. The sesame chicken had an odd flavor to it that I wasn't expecting; it tasted almost like it had gone off, but I think it was an intentional flavor. I ate one bite, and spit the next one out. The rice that came with it was very mid, which I feel like is difficult with plain white rice. My fiancé's sashimi platter was served with the fish on top of lemon wedges, which made every piece taste like lemon and nothing else. The sashimi was also icy in the middle, as though it had been previously frozen. I guess if you wanted to mask the fact you're using frozen fish, you would use a lot of lemon.
It's not an expensive place, but for the quality of the food, it sure was a...
