Wendy's — Restaurant in Urbandale

Greatfast, friendly, & accurate orders, every time in past 5 years. I've been a weekly customer of Wendy's on 100th st. north of Douglas for more than 5 years. The same very friendly & obvious, extremely committed General Manager, is there every single time I have been there, day & night! A wonderful gentleman, who from my personal experience, is committed to, & has great pride in making certain his store, provides the best all around customer service possible, every time, & is there to make certain, every order is 100% accurate & every customer has a positive & accurate experience when they leave, every time! I have, to date, never had a order not completely accurate, or even one time where it was not a positive, friendly, & accurate experience! It is currently 8:15PM and the lights on the building and the sign for the drive thru ordering is not lit up. I wasn’t sure if Wendy’s was open, but saw that other cars were ordering food. When I got up to the window I asked if they were aware that the menu wasn’t lit up. The first guy ignored me as he took my card for payment so I told another guy at the 2nd window. The guy shook his head yes like he was aware the menu isn’t lit up. He handed me my food and I was like ok so are you guys closing? He said they are open until 1am and slammed the door as I was talking to him trying to explain that the menu isn’t lit up. I’ve never been treated so rudely by someone in my life. I recently visited Wendy’s and was looking forward to a quick and satisfying meal, but my experience was rather underwhelming. I ordered a single cheeseburger, fries, and a Diet Coke. The cheeseburger arrived warm, not hot, and the bun was borderline stale, which detracted from the overall enjoyment of the sandwich. It felt like it had been sitting out for a bit too long.

The fries were okay, but they were excessively salty. I usually enjoy Wendy’s fries, but the amount of salt made them difficult to eat. Finally, the Diet Coke was a disappointment as well. It tasted like the syrup was out, resulting in a flat and unsatisfying drink.

Overall, my visit to Wendy’s was mediocre. The food didn’t meet my expectations, and it left me feeling unsatisfied. I hope my next visit will be better, but this one was...
