Iâm normally not the kind of person to complain, and itâs been awhile since weâve visited a Wendyâs as theyâve pretty much left Sioux Falls. We had just left a great concert tonight to head back to SF and my wife wanted a burrito, but âThe Bellâ was closed. This was the closest option. Went through the drive-thru about 930 w/ the wife getting a burger combo and me just getting a bacon burger that came to about $20. total. Biggest mistake we ever made. Neither of us could finish. The fries were horrid and the burgers were downright nasty. What few bites I did take had me belching grease all the way back home. 2 1/2 hours later here, we are both still like âyuckâ feeling like we could lose what we ate any moment. The reason I gave service 4 stars (instead of 5) is the kid in the drive-thru was great and courteous, however, he failed to give us a receipt-otherwise I would provide the date/time/receipt number stamp from it. But it really says something about the food when your wife says the best part of the combo meal was her Diet Coke.    Read moreWent through the drive-thru at about 5:30 Friday, after being too busy to eat all day, was really looking forward to Wendyâs since I cannot normally get it where Iâm from. We ordered 2 simple meals... we werenât asked what size we wanted & in my experience the standard meal is a medium, so I thought nothing of it... until we saw that we got smalls. The person working the mic was also too busy laughing at something to listen so we had to repeat our order 4 times. We drove up to the 1st window but saw nobody & with Covid we thought maybe they were only using one window, so we drove up to the next one & waited... and waited... until they opened the window to give us our drinks & realized we were in fact supposed to pay at the unmanned 1st window. After getting all of that corrected, we were given our food with messy sauce & no napkins, and hardly any of the toppings. After a long day, we were left disappointed by this interaction. Upon further inspection trying to File a complaint, we found that youâre unable to without a receipt... which we never got. So that brings me here, ultimately unhappy...
   Read moreI have given this location chance after chance after chance. Now I am done. I went through drive through at 7:30 in the morning, at least 4 vehicles in the parking lot and I could see people moving around as I pulled in. Went to order and I sat at the speaker for 5 minutes, no one ever came on the other end. Repeatedly said "Hello?" I finally got mad and drove up to the window, there were at least 3 people standing around behind the front counter, talking. Not working, talking. I drive off and went down the street to McDonald's, where I was greeted promptly and was served and on my way in under 3 minutes.
Apparently, the owners/operators of this particular location don't need customers, don't care about how their staff behaves or even does the bare minimum of the tasks they were hired for. All I can say is this: Wendy's corporate should take a long and hard look at this particular location and what it is doing to their image locally. Because, as of this moment, I am through...
