First time at Amici’s—and it won’t be our last!
We were recommended to try Amici’s East Coast Pizzeria, and it absolutely did not disappoint! We’ve been meaning to go for a while, but the timing was never quite right—until today, and we’re so glad we finally made it in.
It wasn’t too busy when we arrived, but there was a good, steady flow of people dining in, which is always a great sign. My husband ordered the “small” BBQ chicken pizza, which was surprisingly generous in size—definitely more like a large! He loved it, and I have to agree. I’ve tried BBQ pizza from Extreme Pizza before, but Amici’s really takes the win. The BBQ flavor is well-balanced—not too overpowering—and just all around delicious.
I had the penne pasta with meat sauce. Honestly, it reminded me of spaghetti with penne noodles, but that’s totally on me—I picked it knowing it was a simple option, and it still tasted great. Next time I’ll probably try a different pasta just to mix things up.
We also ordered the cheesy bread and WOW—so good! Gooey, flavorful, and definitely a must-try.
The place is family friendly too, which was perfect for us. We saw other families with little ones dining nearby, and our server Liz went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. She gave us great recommendations, made us feel really welcome, and her service truly made our first visit extra special.
Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area—great food, great service, and a welcoming vibe. We’ll...
Read moreI gave a 18% tip, on a to go order. My food was ice cold. Our hotel was 1.8 miles away. $30.00 for a small cheese pizza and garlic bread.
The pizza was okay, but cold. Barely any tomato sauce. The crust was nice.
The garlic bread was terrible. So much paprika. Who puts paprika on garlic bread? Not an Italian, that's who. No garlic flavor at all. Update I went in with a $20 gift card to give it another try. You have the best sauce ever. Truly delicious. You need more on the pizza. The garlic bread sticks need garlic. No flavor at all.
The eggplant, oh the eggplant. Where was it? Chopped up and mixed with penne. I'm not a baby or 90 years old. Just take the "East" out of the name. You have no idea how Italians in NY or NJ eat. Italian people love to feed you. $22 for Chopped eggplant and pasta. No bread, no salad, no soup. This may be Italian inspired food, but this is not Italian food. My...
Read moreFor Mother's day we went to Amici in Vacaville. We are used to going to different Amicis and we always order the Pesto pasta with chicken. When it came, there was hardly any pesto and we told our server. She asked if we wanted a side order of pesto. It came in a tiny saucer and since 3 of us ordered the same thing, we asked for another. When the bill came, they charged us extra for the side of pesto which should have been in our pasta in the first place! Every other Amicis we go too serves the pasta with enough pesto. This is the first time we had to complain AND PAY for extra pesto. The Vacaville Amici is trying to charge more by skimping on the pesto and charging for extra. We will never go to this location again. We've been to Dublin, Danville and Menlo park and they all serve their pasta with ample pesto. Don't go to...
