After working all day in the heat fixing air conditioning units I wanted take my family out for a nice meal. We have visited the Roseville location team activities with our kids so we were very happy to find that there was a location closer to us.
However the experience was not good at all. Once you get past the hostess stand everything goes downhill. They sat us in a very dusty booth that people were literally getting up from as we were sitting down. There was a lot of trash under our table and the table its self was wet and half cleaned.
The server was not necessary rude but she was not great either. Everything took so much time and they had a lot of staff so I didnāt really understand why everything was taking so long. We asked to get drinks and appetizers right away to keep the hunger kids at bay until the food came. It took a good 15 min to even get the drink to the table and I think maybe they were out of carbonation on the drinks.
We ordered two of the specials and two kids meals. In all my years that I have been ordering prime rib I have never received something that looks the way the prime rib did when it got to the table! I genuinely thought they made a mistake and had given us sirloin or pot roast. Everything came to the table about 40 min after the drinks and it came out cold. I asked the server if we had been given the right plates and she said yes and walked off. The manager ensured we had the right meals and told us thatās how it was supposed to look. He acted as if we were not looking at the same plate together. The asparagus was thin as a blade of grass and over cooked and my wifeās broccoli was not cooked at all it tasted as if they had picked it fresh and sent it to us unwashed.
Iām not sure if they have a cook thatās inexperienced but prime rib is not supposed to look like a pieces of cheap over cooked serloin. We finished the night with a regular pizooki and the featured smores pizooki. They both came to the table looking as if they had sit for 10 min. We also had to ask for graham crackers as we noticed our neighbors table pizookie came out looking fresh, amazing and with gram crackers.
Not sure how this establishment is maintaining 4 stars. Their food is very pricey for the poor quality and in this economy families canāt afford to spend their treat money on less than stellar...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo bad. I don't know how this place averages 4 stars. The entire process from getting seated to the cleanliness of the booth to the food and service was just a massive face palm moment. We went to celebrate a birthday. We were seated no silverware or napkins. Weird we thought but they looked lively so maybe it would come later. The first thing we ordered was a meal for our toddler who was hungry. Then we proceeded to order apps but again we politely reminded our server to ensure that our toddlers meals came first as he was quite hungry. Drink orders were placed etc. drinks came, our apps came......no toddlers food. So we asked "oh I saw my manager clicked it off the screen" what? Why did we have to ask? So out comes his food finally. Great. We then had to ask for cutlery and napkins because ya know we kinda needed it at this point. We placed dinner orders as well. Dinner came out not all at once or even at a slight stagger. They forgot an entire plate and then acted like it was just finishing up. 15 minutes after the rest of the order was on the table we get the last plate. Please tell me why the plate was scalding hot but the noodles on the damn dish was ice cold. I thought my niece was kidding but I've never been served ice cold pasta that is practically dried out. She was at this point over dinner and so were we. The chicken on this dish was so dry and bland, noodles were cold and dry to. We ordered the deep dish pizza, more like extra thick crust pizza. I've had better pizza out of a freezer. Our other dish was the buffalo which looked so anemic and in desperate need of buffalo sauce. It looked like the kitchen just painted the sauce on. Not wanting to spoil the mood of the intended evening we proceeded to order dessert which luckily was the saving grace. The booth was absolutely disgusting. The panels were filthy and clearly coated with stuck on dried food. The seat was gross to. I don't think I can justify coming back here again. Just absolutely...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOct. 15, 2021 My co-workers & I went to BJ's for dinner. My 8 coworkers got what they ordered ( steak, mashed potatoes & asparagus, etc) but 2 of us who ordered chicken salad did not. Waiter said salad was coming up shortly. When my co-workers were halfway done, I went to the girl at the front desk & asked for the manager. She left to get the manager. But no manager showed up. Waiter came to our table & I asked him to get the manager. He left but no manager showed up. Waiter came back to the table after a while asking if some of my co-workers needed a box for their left over. YES! my co-workers had already finished their meals but 2 of us had not had our chicken salad yet. No explanation given. I asked for the manager again (3rd time). This time somebody showed up. I told him about the delay. No explanation given but he apologized for lousy service. Forgot to ask his name. I told him we worked for Kaiser. We had a casual little talk and learned his mom retired from Kaiser Vallejo. So I was a little understanding because we worked for the same employer. The chicken salad was the lousiest I've ever ordered in a restaurant. The lettuce looked old & did not taste like there was a dressing at all. It looked recycled. The chicken was cold as expected. So what caused the delay? After 2 bites, we were done. We were told that we didn't have to pay for the chicken salad & appetizers. Overall impression: Lousy service. Employees were not forthcoming about the delay. Where did they get the lettuce? We were skeptical. We asked for management to intervene 3 times! 3 TIMES!!! Very bad. Now I'm skeptical to order salad in restaurants. I've heard bad comments online about some items that are recycled that end up on your table. SUCH A BAD EXPERIENCE....
