We were staying at the attached Holiday Inn Express so decided to give Jimmy's a try. When you enter from the hotel it's a little confusing as you enter into the bar which is all high tops and very very busy on a late Friday night (we went after getting back from Glow fest). It's awesome they were so busy and it was a good sign that this was the place to go but the Holiday Inn (or Jimmy's) should probably put some signage up that the restaurant is on the other side of the bar. I almost noped out as I'm in a wheelchair and seeing only high tops + narrow aisles... Luckily, my husband went and scouted inward and found the restaurant. Then he cleared a path through the bar so we could get there. We were greeted and seated quickly at the host station at a great table where my wheelchair fit perfectly! I could roll under without my rigid chair footplate getting blocked and preventing me from fully pulling in. Our server quickly came over and let us know we were at the tail end of happy hour and we could still get some orders in. Awesome service! Shortly after she came back with a couple Foggy Bottoms for my husband and a basket of hot perfectly crispy tots. For dinner I had the Taco Salad (beef) which was excellent. It was better than expected actually. No layer overwhelmed the other and the mixing in both the red and green salsa added a decent amount of spice. I left off the sour cream and only used the upper edges of the shell. While this isn't a difficult dish- a lot of restaurants overwhelm so all you can taste is one ingredient. Jimmy's makes a perfect taco salad if that's what you're craving - go for it. My husband had the Blackened Walleye dinner with wild rice as his side. He was a little confused about the random strawberry on the plate but shrugged and ate it because "yum, strawberry" ha! He said the blackened walleye was great and was "spicy for Minnesota." This is a huge compliment as my guy likes Southern food (true Cajun), and he doesn't compliment Minnesota "spicy" much. He usually chuckles at it. Kudos! So while he said it's barely there spice (be aware his "barely there" burns my mouth usually), he did say he could taste Cajun and it was "great and spicy for Minnesota." He also enjoyed the wild rice. The veggies were a bit overdone. He gave his meal an A- and the service an A++ The restaurant portion of Jimmy's was very accessible for wheelchairs. Wide aisles, accessible seating, accommodating hosts and servers. I didn't use the restroom so can't comment on those. The bar portion is not accessible with only high tops and very narrow aisles. Be extremely cautious entering from the hotel and have a walking individual in front of you to clear a path or be prepared to tap people and speak loudly so they can hear you, look down and move both their bodies and stools out of the way. Be aware that some will be " happy" lol and will stumble out in front of you (or randomly jump) proceed with caution so you don't clip an ankle or high heel and cause someone to fall. No one can see you. Maybe bring a loud horn? I don't know. Jimmy's is definitely worth going to and we'll go back again. Excellent hosts and servers, good food and a really great atmosphere.

Overall the food was good, the Cesar salad dressing I prefer on the side but it was still good. (Just too much dressing) Waffle fries- 10/10: the sour cream dip was something different for me, not sure if that’s a state thing or just a Jimmys thing, but it was good! A tad salty but it’s not bad Walleye: first timer and loved how it’s not fishy in taste. HIGHLY RECOMMEND not doing the tartar and just rubbing the garlic butter it’s wayyyyyy better. Adds so much flavor it’s missing, that adding Tatar makes it so plain. TRY IT. TRUST ME 10/10 The wild rice was basic but good. Needed a little more something. But it’s not bad! 7/10 Service… was okay. I understand everyone is struggling for staff so not taking points on that. I did wait a lot for the server to come around and for my receipt, I thought she grabbed mine when I saw her for the tab that had showed up after me. Just felt ignored through the process from the moment I arrived that I originally sat by the bar and then moved to family side. Being nice on the 7/10

I've been to Jimmy’s Food & Drink a couple of times, and honestly, each time I come, it’s always a vibe! The atmosphere is fantastic—always fun, with stories and sports all over. Can't complain about that! The servers don’t really ask much about how you're doing, which is okay since it makes the experience feel more relaxed and laid-back. Ordering and paying is fast and easy, which I appreciate. They have a variety of entertainment options like games, a jukebox, a dartboard, pull tabs, and plenty of TVs to catch the latest sports games. The outdoor patio is a great spot to hang out when the weather is nice. The food and drinks are solid, making it a great place to unwind. I highly suggest stopping by if you just want to spend some time and talk with people. Overall, it's a great spot to chill, and I'll definitely be back!

I’m a truck driver, first time here in Minnesota. I saw this had good reviews and it’s a local place. I enjoy try local places when I visit. I came in order a sweet tea, once I realized it wasn’t sweet tea for 2 sips. I asked the waitress how it was made. Once told me how it was made, I told her I didn’t want this and she asked me if I wanted water. I repeated myself like 5/6 times, I want nothing. As she is walking away, she is like you want water right. My friend who was on my phone with me was making fun of the situation because she wasn’t getting it through her head until she walked away. Waitress kept coming over every 2 minutes asking me what I wanted, which I did find a bit annoying after the 2 time. I have had weight loss surgery, eating is a challenge at times. I’m very careful to pick something I can eat without throwing it up or wasting it. Third time, she comes over, I asked her what the place is known for. Soups, 2 of them I wouldn’t eat and 1 I already had in my truck and I knew I could eat my own. I don’t do salads. Burgers, I’m a bit sick of burgers. You can get them anywhere. Pizza, I had earlier in the week with a friend in her local town. I finally chose something, I saw it on the kids menu. Kid’s portion sizes is pretty much all I can eat and still takes me sometime to eat it. Waitress is like we have that as an appetizer. I asked is it the same portion size as the kid’s, no. Well, I want the portion size of the kid’s meal. I can’t ring it up that way and you are not 12 and under. Mind you, I had no issue paying the appetizer price if it was the same portion size as the kid’s portion. She kept saying no. I was like there is nothing here I want. I left. With what I can tell on the menu, is like every other place. Service was okay. Atmosphere is a bar setting. Would I come back? No. Would I...

I only give it a 3 stars cause once we actually got a server she was very pleasant otherwise this would be a 1 maybe 2 star review. We got in about 10:50am waited for a hostess for a few minutes. Was greeted and asked if we wanted breakfast or lunch menus. Finally got seated and proceed to wait 5-7 minutes before we were greeted by our server, who took our drink order and told us breakfast was no longer available. So we switched up our choice from breakfast to lunch. We each got burgers. The food came out and looked good. Cut the burgers in half and they were pink and perfect just the way we ordered. Took a bite only to find the bottom of the burger was almost black and tasted burnt. Cut off the bottom of the burger to save it with it sending it back. Server came back to see how everything was and saw the pile of blackened burger on the plate. She asked if we wanted to send it back. We declined as with cutting it all up looked like most of the burger was gone. She spoke to the manager and the took 50% off each burger. The table behind us told their server they were ordering breakfast... to our surprise the server said yeah we have breakfast cooking until noon today. This was after being told breakfast was over and getting some very disappointing lunch. All in all the bright spot was the server as she tried to win our business back and asking us to come back and give them another shot. We frequent Jimmy's but this is the 2nd or 3rd time we have had lackluster food in about the same number of visits. So with plenty of other options in the area we will head else where...
