McDonald's — Restaurant in Valdese

Always check your order.....it doesn't matter what time of the day you go.

I keep giving them a chance to get it right.....

But it seem to me that No one really cares or takes pride in what they do....staff usually likes to give attitude and argue over how miss interpreted words are on my end.... Assuming extra flavor pumps at .50 cents each is what was ordered, when in fact the words used were extra sugar.....but instead you get a 8 dollar coffee that's Completely undrinkable...

You go inside and ask why ???

You get treated even worse...to the point the GM has to step in due to the hate coming from employees mouth, can be heard all through out the store... I nicely reiterated my point that when someone asks for extra sugar... That doesn't change the meaning to flavor. ... just because they asked if I wanted it in hazelnut.... 5 dollars charged in flavors is crazy to me. When they don't even try to mix it...meanwhile you can clearly see over half of the cup is flavor.... Getting free breakfast doesn't make anything better...when it's complete disrespect being given out....telling you how you ordered wrong and that you don't understand the meaning of words.

Yes, I want my coffee hazelnut flavored. Doesn't mean I want extra flavor added ...those words were never said.....

I reiterated again I used the word sugar not flavor.....words have meaning and were used properly....not sure how it's confusing.....

Not to mention the fact, I don't know how many countless times. I've had the gentleman at the first window charging the wrong order and have to corrected him...just to make sure I'm paying for my order and not someone else's....he's even waved me thru without paying because the orders are all messed up. I have to tell the second window person that I didn't pay for my order and that I don't want people being fired. I just want to pay for what I ordered. To turn around and be given the wrong order....almost every time.... Now this is ridiculous that I even keep trying.... Knowing this is a very small town of less than 5,000 people. I'm sure that when they see me coming..... they have to be thinking. Here comes that Karen...but honestly there is nothing else around.....so I hope that one day one of these times....they will have their poop in a group...meaning getting their $#¡+ together and get it right the first...

I don't have much to add here about this McDonald's, since basically the only thing to add about a chain restaurant this large is how clean it is, attitudes of staff, etc. Basically I am just going to rate it among other McDonalds on the East Coast and I visit ones in North Carolina for reference. The service here is quite quick, especially the drive thru. It may be intimadating to pass this place up if you see a line of cars, but do your stomach a favor and pull on in to order. The drive thru has two lines that merge into one, and I can honestly say since the place was built I have only had to "wait" once, and that was for fries. The staff is plentiful on every shift and they provide excellent, friendly, and accurate service. The restaurant's dining area and restrooms are kept clean. They keep the drink station clean, and stocked. If you wants condiments, especially with ketchup you have the option of the paper cups to dispense it in, or otherwise you may want to ask your cashier for packets at the time you order, or plan on getting back in line. This is a popular in the mornings for local retirees to gather for coffee and socialize. During football season you may want to consider the times that they are packed with young children who participate in little league. There is a more than usual wait time on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursdays between 7pm-8pm, and during Saturdays at the beginning of every hour between 8am- till noon when Valdese host the games. Among all the McDonalds in Burke County, this one us at the top of list for overall quality. The only negative I have to speak on is the number of times in the past two years they have had problems with the ice cream/milkshake machines. It seems to happen more than it should, that patrons are not able to order any type of ice cream menu choices. This is very aggravating especially when you are just wanting a milkshake, and have waited behind several other patrons to be told "the ice cream machine is not...

Someone really needs to do something about this location. Saying the staff is terrible is a huge understatement to say the least. If there was any confusion regarding if the employees respect the fact they have a job at all, just listen to the conversations that go on between them. Comments range from how they dislike their position, to their fatigue with having to serve others and the fact they are 'so tired' of everything. I ordered two 20 piece nuggets and a large fry...first thing I heard was a comment about how there wasn't enough fries to complete my order and they didn't feel like dropping more. So they proceeded to give me the order with half the fries that should be a large, soggy and cold. Obviously I requested fresh fries...that produced a smart comment about how sorry they were for my inconvenience. I believe the employees name was Riley whom I must say was a sorry sight of an individual. Greasy hair, dirty uniform and generally unkempt. Good thing he wasn't the one cooking my food. This person then proceeded to make mocking comments regarding my sweatshirt which had Pennywise the Clown on the front. Apparently he thought it was amusing by attempting to mimic Pennywise's voice and let me know he just clocked out and was off work now. I'm not sure what his intentions were by this but luckily for him I am an adult and do not humor children. I have been in customer service for over 20 years and let me tell you that the people employed in this restaurant are an absolute reflection of the person who manages it and the other review comments for this location proves that point. The fact that this McDonald's is the only fast food location in Valdese is a total waste of an opportunity. I want to add that the 'fresh fries' I requested were under cooked and still soggy which is a huge health...
