I visited this place based SOLELY on the reviews. I should’ve learned my lesson about that with The Hunan House though 🤦🏾♀️But let me start by saying the food WASN’T BAD! My rating is for my overall experience. I placed a TO GO order and the lady at the counter was definitely not interested in me being there. She could’ve been having a bad day or whatever so I didn’t let that deter me. When she finally came to take my order, I was told it would take about 15 mins… I stopped counting after we had passed the 35 minute mark so I was already a little annoyed…. Mainly because there were maybe 3 people there eating. But I understand things happen, right? But THEN…. another couple who came in AFTER me placed a TO GO order, which had way more food than I ordered… got theirs before I did😮 Then when I FINALLY got my food and saw the portion sizes for the PRICE I paid, I was even more annoyed. I paid $30 for what you see pictured. Peking would never!! Lol. Also, I had asked the lady if I could get my food with no onions… she ASSURED ME that nothing came with onions in it… Which I thought was odd because I’ve never been to a Chinese restaurant that didn’t serve their fried rice with onions🤔 But ok, cool! Or so I thought, until I got back home and saw both plates FULL of onions (as you can see in the picture). Again… ANNOYED 😒 But again, the food wasn’t bad, flavor wise… once I maneuvered pass the GIANT chunks of onions that the food “doesn’t” come with. The egg rolls were actually REALLY GOOD…. If I EVER decide to go back, it would be just for those. It seems as though most of the good reviews are from dining in, so Idk… maybe you have to do that to get a good experience 🤷🏾♀️ Do with that info...
Read moreToo many places to order from in Valdosta!…..Horrible food! I grab simple chicken wings from these guys awhile back so I decided to eat something else. Now I have had pan fried noodles before and spring rolls from five star places all over this country. Being a Truck driver allows for me to explore. Anyway this particular place pan fried noodles was not pleasing enough to my taste. The cabbage in the spring rolls was very tough and the sauce on the pan fried noodles was way to thick and just overly salty. My husband and I immediately returned the food. So I tried my best to let the woman know that the food was not to our liking and I did this respectfully however she blew up and got loud as if she couldn’t handle her emotions. I guess she can’t handle rejection. I contain myself because deep down inside I wanted to throw that food across the dining area and tell her to keep the money. I told her I was willing to pay for the spring rolls since we pick over it. So she gave us back part of the money and said don’t order from here no more and I said that’s fine by me I won’t be back I’ll be to happy to keep me and the rest of my fellow truckers out...
Read moreI hate to write a negative review because it’s a small business trying to thrive, but my experience there last night was way less than stellar. Their current prices are higher than those on their website (which are high already) and that’s a problem when ordering take out. I ordered veggie Pad Thai and was charged for chicken - this greatly annoys us vegetarians (especially since I’m sure both versions have veggies, so I’m just paying for non-existent chicken). The Pad Thai was mushy, soup-like and not good. I tossed the whole thing (if you knew me, to throw out food says a lot). The vegetable lettuce wraps came without the crispy rice noodles and plum sauce noted on the menu and which kind of make the dish. The sesame tofu and spring rolls were good, but nothing I’d return for based on their prices/quantity: $5.75 for two spring rolls with nothing more than cabbage inside and $11.75 for a half-filled container of tofu. Maybe it was an off night? At nearly $45 for what I ended up eating -a small order of sesame tofu and two cabbage-filled spring rolls- I...
