I had forgotten why I donāt eat at outback, but after my first visit in 4-5 years I was quickly reminded. I travel for work, to eat out often, and had learned to avoid outback at all costs, and when Iām home- I will typically eat at Texas Roadhouse next door, and itās almost always wonderful. But since I had a $25 gift certificate to outback, I thought Iād give it a try again, maybe they had improved? I ordered the ribeye steak with coconut shrimp- Cesar salad & baked potato, First the Cesar salad was almost impossible to eat, it had an overwhelming flavor of garlic/ onion, Both of which I like but this was too much, I pushed it away after 2-3 bites, The waitress was nice & offered to bring me a house salad, it was better but still not good, nothing compared to the Texas Roadhouse salad right next door. I was very hungry & didnāt come there for the salad, so I awaited my steak, Someone from the kitchen came out & just kinda tossed it on my table without saying a word. First the 4 shrimp were greasy, But the main issue was the steak, Iāve had a few bad steaks in my lifetime, and Iāve had some that were top of the line. This ribeye ranks at the extreme bottom end of that spectrum, I tried the first 2 bites & determined it was without flavor, but the flavor was not palatable, bear in mind this was a $31.00 meal, Iāve had the basic $12-$13 sirloin from Texas Roadhouse or even longhorn, that was far superior in every category, especially flavor. I thought some steak sauce would improve the flavor, had to wait about 10 mins for the waitress to come back around and I asked for steak sauce, I noticed she didnāt ask me what kind? But brought me a small dish of some generic steak sauce, I tried 2 more bites & realized nothing was going to improve the flavor of this bad cut of meat, and poor chef preparation & grilling, so I ate the 4 shrimp & the 4 bites of steak. Tried to eat a bite or two of the tiny baked potato, but even it was undercooked. So I got the leftover seen in pic to go, normally i would keep leftover steak for a steak & egg breakfast, but again I could tell this steak was not a good cut, So I cut it up & gave it to my dog. Even if this had been a $9.99 steak, it would be very disappointing, but my bill was $47.00 with my tip. Yes I tipped the poor waitress, itās not her fault this restaurantās food is so horrendously bad. In the past 10-15 years, I hadnāt been to the outback no more than 3 times. As with other restaurants such as Texas Roadhouse, Austinās , longhorns,- Iāve been to each a hundred or more. I wonāt make this mistake again, even if the meal was completely free. Now Iām home- Iām gonna make me a nice ham...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have NEVER given anywhere a 1 star but I would give you guys NO star if I could! You have 21 EMPTY CLEAN tables! That is 4 person tables so you could seat 84 people and our party of 10 has been waiting 1 1/2 hours in the hot sun with NO fans! We owned a restaurant for several years and I completely understand short staffed but you can seat people and at least give them a drink while they wait! VERY VERY VERY POOR MANAGEMENT! THIS has happened the last 3 times we ate here. The other two times were just a party of 2 and still the same problem! Roadhouse is PACKED and your parking lot is half empty. I bet your owners wonder why????? THIS IS WHY! We watched soooo many people leave here! One group of six were seated and waited 1 hour and 40 mins and never got their food at all! Our server was very nice so the star goes to him. Party of 10 and we get 1 bread? But the server corrected it Going to continue this review to see if this gets Any better. Ordered a Caesar salad with extra cheese and extra croutons and ranch on side...got 3 croutons, no visible cheese and no ranch BUT the awesome waiter immediately fixed it. All of our porterhouse steaks and other food was really good but doesn't make up for 1 1/2 hour wait WITH 21 empty clean tables! I did not estimate tables. I walked around and counted them! End of the dinner Kyrie our server was sooooo Amazing! He is the ONLY REASON we may give you one guys one more try. He was soooo polite, patient, friendly, professional, full of energy..just can't say enough about him! This young man deserves...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreJust had one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a very long time. I counted 12 tables around us that were not bussed when we arrived, and were still not bussed when we left. Full of dirty plates, glasses, utensils, etc. Many other dirty tables scattered throughout the restaurant in different locations. We asked the server what happened. She said everyone left at once. Okay....so does that mean the tables stay un-bussed? An older couple was seated after us in the area where most of the dirty tables were. They got up and left the restaurant after 10 minutes. They gave the busboy a tip as they were leaving. I think they felt sorry for him. And what ever happened to servers removing your plates from the table when you're done eating? The table next to us sat with all their dirty plates well after they were finished - I estimate at least 20 minutes. The server visited their table 3 times but still did not clear the table. Out table was also not cleared after we finished our meal. I noticed on the way out the owners name was displayed on the front entrance. I would imagine you would want to take pride in your establishment, especially if you're announcing you are the owner! We were traveling from NC to FL and stopped at Outback because we had eaten at several Outbacks in FL, all with good experiences. This restaurant needs to fix the front of the house. The food was great, so no issues with the back of the house. We will NOT return to Outback in...
