Beef Brisket Dinner with Corn and Sweet Potatoe 😀🙌😎....
Special thank you to Kathleen for making my dining experience at Sonny's BBQ in Valdosta, Georgia truly remarkable. I visited this charming restaurant alone and decided to try their Beef Brisket Dinner with Corn and Sweet Potato as my main course. I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the meal and the overall dining experience.
Let's start with the star of the show, the Beef Brisket. It was cooked to perfection, tender and succulent, with a mouthwatering smoky flavor that instantly won me over. The meat was expertly seasoned, and each bite melted in my mouth. The portion size was generous, ensuring that I left the restaurant feeling satisfied and content.
Accompanying the Beef Brisket were the Corn and Sweet Potato. The corn was sweet and bursting with flavor, perfectly grilled to bring out its natural sweetness. It was a delightful side dish that complemented the richness of the brisket. As for the sweet potato, it was a delicious surprise. The natural sweetness was enhanced by a subtle hint of cinnamon, creating a delightful combination of flavors. It was the perfect balance of savory and sweet.
The service at Sonny's BBQ was outstanding. Kathleen, my server, was attentive, friendly, and made sure that I had everything I needed throughout my meal. Her warm and welcoming demeanor added to the overall pleasant atmosphere of the restaurant. The staff members were knowledgeable about the menu and were more than happy to answer any questions I had.
The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, with a distinct Southern charm. The rustic decor and comfortable seating made me feel right at home. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained, creating a pleasant environment to enjoy my meal.
In conclusion, my experience at Sonny's BBQ in Valdosta, Georgia was nothing short of exceptional. The Beef Brisket Dinner with Corn and Sweet Potato was a delicious combination of flavors that left me craving for more. The attentive service and inviting ambiance added to the overall positive dining experience. If you're in the area and looking for a fantastic barbecue meal, I highly recommend...
Read moreThis was probably the worst experience we've ever had at a Sonny's. We arrived at 8:40p with a closing time of 10p. We were told that they were out of chicken, brisket and corn which looking at the time and on a busy day was acceptable. However, that was just the beginning of many issues. First, we ordered water for the kids not realizing the kids meals came with milk or juice. So when I asked for juice for both kids, I was told the water was their included drink. Next, we ordered an okra appetizer and when the bowl arrived it was half empty and the okra was incredibly greasy and over fried. For my meal, I ordered the loaded tots with pulled pork. When it arrived, there were no onion straws as indicated on the menu and the amount of pork was meager. When I asked about both, I was given a spoonful more of pork and the apparent last (again over fried) 3 onion straws in the building were brought to the table. My husband ordered all you can eat sliced pork and when he asked for another order of the pork, it took over 30 minutes for it to arrive. Furthermore, he said the pork did not taste smoked, but was a watery texture (definitely not on par with Sonny's standards). Lastly, the baked beans were NOT good at all. I would even dare to say inedible. The flavor was not the typical BBQ baked beans served by Sonny's, but tasted like a cheap canned baked bean. I even overheard the table next to us asking to speak with the manager. I would not recommend this location to ANYONE and am surprised this location...
Read more12/18/21 I have been a loyal fan of sonnys for all 36 years of my life, I cant remember ever having a bad e penitence and I have even driven over 3 hours just to go eat at sonnys. But tonight was the first bad experience I have had and it was not a single incident of negligence and disregard for customer satisfaction. To start off with there were 5 people hanging out in the front of the restaraunt not doing anything when we walked in but they told us we would have to wait 40 minutes for a table (there were only 3 tables with people). We decided to stay and wait. We got to the table and immediately ordered food and drinks, drinks came out 10 minutes later with the bad news that they were out of turkey. Replacement ordered and waited another 15 minutes and thebwaitress comes back with theybare out of pulled pork. Ok another substitution. Another 15 minutes goes by and the food comes out, and my plate had 2 slices of pork and 10 French fries. I'm sorry but that is just not right. The waitress said yep that's all you get these days.
I'm disappointed in this sonnys and it's management to manage through these times. I wouldn't recommending stopping at this location and sorry to say that after 30 years of sonnys visits I would recommend you go to the the smoking pig down the street instead.
I hope someone from corporate sees this and takes action. If they do I would like to get that...
