This place is really testing my patience. I attempted to place an online order and the Vallejo location was the only bay area location that wouldn't allow me to place an online order. I then attempted to call and my wife and I called at least 12-times without an answer. We decided to go anyway... Upon arrival, there were two 2 customers present before me. I placed my order while my wife walked across the parking lot to a very crowded In-n-Out restaurant. When I mentioned to the woman at the counter thats no one was answering the phone, she said, "Well there's only three of us here but we try to answer." The phone number is listed online (and posted in the restaurant) as a viable ordering option! After 15-minutes, my wife returned with her In-n-Out order. We then waited another 15-minutes for my order while hers got cold. The customer before me said that he was told at the time of ordering that his wait would be 30-minutes. I was never told this and I wouldn't have stayed had I been told! For anyone who thinks this was just a bad day, 3 months ago I had exactly the same experience (without the lame excuse from an employee) in the same order; inability to order online/calling with no answer/long wait time... This is NOT the French Laundry or even Chevy's! There is a very narrow range of items that they are responsible for cooking and no one should have to wait 20-minutes for an order for one person! But even prior to that, if you advertise online ordering, make sure the website works. If you advertise a phone number as an ordering option, make sure someone is entrusted with answering when customers call! The sandwiches are great but not worth the purchasing experience! This was ignored ,and my sandwich was of no use to me when she brought it home, as I couldn't eat the hot peppers or the juice,which was drenching my sandwich . On top of this, the employee who rang up the order at the counter was very pushy and aggressive about trying to make my wife add a tip. She was almost being Intimaded into adding a tip ( FOR WHAT?) I am fine with tips for someone serving me at a table or bar, but for what reason do these employees feel entitled to a tip? They hand you food over a counter? Absolutely absurd.
