FLUID Coffee Roasters — Restaurant in Valparaiso

We were in the neighborhood, so we decided to stop in and try something new. I was not impressed, unfortunately. The service was pretty fast, but that may have hurt them in my case. I was given my cortado first and then waited only another minute or two for my B E C (bacon, egg, & cheese) sandwich. It turns out the lid wasn't all the way on my drink, so it spilled out and down onto my hand. With a drink so small, every drop is precious, and I was sad to lose any of it. Luckily, there were napkins in the sandwich bag, so I was able to clean up on my way back to the car. I have to say that this is one of the saddest sandwiches I've ever seen. It's on a boring plain bagel that was squished and flat, the eggs and bacon didn't even come close to covering the whole thing, and the cheese was almost nonexistent. Food this simple needs to be executed and presented better. I paid $12 plus a $2 tip for a few bites of bacon and egg and an equal amount of sips of espresso. Overpriced and underwhelming for me. ​An Absolute Gem! Perfect Food, Atmosphere, and People.

From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a warmth that makes you feel incredibly special. The team here is phenomenal. Hemi is so friendly and welcoming, it’s like you’ve been best friends forever. Jordan is warm and soft-spoken, with a genuinely friendly ear. ​The food is on another level. I ordered the Ez Tiger, substituting an Asiago Bagel for the brioche bun, and it was absolutely delightful. Jordan is a true artist in the kitchen; the presentation was so wonderful it felt like I was at a gourmet restaurant. He puts a personal touch into every plate that leaves his kitchen. ​And you can't leave without a drink from Hemi! She makes the most amazing beverages, preparing them with such love and grace. She even helped me figure out what I was in the mood for—my "mood drink" for the day! ​The overall atmosphere is the perfect blend of relaxing and vibrant. With soft, steady music in the background and the energetic hustle and bustle behind the counter, it's a beautiful place to be. I cannot recommend this...

I usually go to the location on lincolnway but I stopped by this location today and it was just as wonderful. The vibe was very different, compared to the edgier lincolnway location fluid south valpo is a very chill, laid back rustic meetup cafe. If you're looking to meet up with an old friend or nervous for a first date, this place has the best vibes. The coffee is amazing as well, I had the Norvus Ordo and it tastes just like those chocolate oranges you get at Christmas! My mom got the Cosmic Coconut and it was also lovely, I was worried with it being iced the flavor would get lost but it wasn't. I asked one of the lovely baristas about the q grade of the coffee there and she said about 82-83 but that's just her being humble, it definitely tasted a solid 85-86 to me!
