Having grown up in this neighborhood since 1971, my family and I have always cherished this little establishment. So, this Saturday, my wife and I took my mom and dad out for a meal, and it turned into a truly special evening. It means the world to my parents to get out, spend time with their children, and enjoy simple moments together.
Mom ordered a cheeseburger with fries and a drink, Dad indulged in two chili dogs, my wife had a cheeseburger and fries, and I went for the double cheeseburger with fries and a drink. I’m pretty sure we made quite the scene, laughing endlessly and soaking up the joy of the moment—apologies to anyone around us!
The gentleman at the counter didn’t wear a name tag, and I was far too busy dunking my fries and burger into the delicious BBQ dipping sauce to ever ask for his name. But his kindness and attentiveness stood out. He made sure we had everything we needed, turning a simple meal into an experience worth remembering—so much so that I had to write about it! And that BBQ sauce? Absolutely fantastic. He even sent me home with a few extras so I could pair them with my tenderloin.
I will always be grateful to that man. My entire family commented on how kind, courteous, and hard-working he was/is—truly going above and beyond. Kudos to the man behind the counter, who not only kept things running but got his steps in that day! And to this beloved spot, thank you for standing strong all these decades. It means everything to be able to share this place with my parents, my children, my grandchildren, my wife, and my siblings, always transporting us back to...

We were inside the home all morning, in the smell of the soot, which was on everything. The husband left about lunch time and brought home food for the family. It smelled wonderful. Dave the contractor and I smelled it and asked where it came from. The Dairy Queen down the street. We left a little bit after that and enjoyed a truly wonderful Deluxe burger. They make it different than any other Dairy Queen and serve it on a china plate. That is my stand by and the only thing I have ever eaten there. I recommend it when I talk with people about great places to have a burger. And I always recommend the 'in small writing' Deluxe Burger. Made to your order, hot, juicy, wonderful sauce. Nothing better. Except when not near here, there's Nipp's in Longview, Dea's In and Out in Gresham, - Quarter Pound Jem 100 in Newberg, Single Cruisers at 136th and Division in Portland, - Deluxe Burger Frisco Freeze in Tacoma. Beef Burger, - get two All very different from each other. But all very very good.
But in Vancouver, it's the Macarthur Blvd Dairy Queen, set alone in a small strip mall and tucked in the middle of a very fortunate...

Response 1/3/2023- This is not my first experience, I've been many times over the last two years to this location. I'd say it's a 50/50 chance to get a blizzard made correctly... And not toppings on top vanilla untouched at the bottom, little to no toppings; just enough to looks like there are, incorrectly made/wrong order, ordering through the app and the restaurant deciding to close early but still took my order and money (had to email corporate to get my refund)
Update 1/8/2023 We gave this location one last try... I shared pictures this time. We ordered the exact same flavors. Top 1/3 of my large Blizzard was just vanilla, I paid extra for Oreo and got none. I ordered on the app, it's a printed ticket no room for error.... My boyfriend went back in because the tops looked they they had no toppings and was told they use exact measurements and that they would not...
