Writing as both a customer and Doordasher. As a customer I order through Doordash, (I used to directly order from the restaurant even they had their own delivery) the food quality is very hot and miss. They have large portions and the combo meals are good when it comes to value but in my opinion I feel they focus on quantity over quality. There was one time I had to call into the restaurant because the sesame chicken wasn't cooked well, they offered a replacement, but I didn't feel like driving, so I dismissed it. Other than that, it's ok. As a Dasher, they had the food ready within 5 minutes and was early to my customer. They have a drive thru to get the food. I don't think they have any indoor dining, even without covid. I think it's takeout only. It's tucked away, so it's easy to miss. Keep your eyes peeled. If you like my reviews, please feel free to like and follow me :)

I use to dine here regularly as I grew up in Cascade Park. This is no longer going to be a place I dine. We ordered crab puffs that have zero crab, our General Tso chicken was extremely over breaded and soggy, the low main was decent enough but the Kung Pao Chicken was green. Like the chicken was green too. (Pics don't tell the true story if how green) We thought maybe they put food coloring in it because it's Christmas as a joke. When I called with my concerns that was not the case. They offered to make us another order but I declined. Asked for a refund for the Kung Pao. We still have to check that it happened. $70 wasted on a meal that left tummy aches in half of my family. Update: it was actually $78 and they never refunded my Kung Pao chicken.

Discovered this restaurant a couple of years ago while driving around the neighborhood and was surprised to find a drive-through Chinese restaurant that also provides delivery! The area isn't that nice and can be hard to find. However, service has been pretty efficient and fast, no matter which sort of service we've chosen. I wouldn't say that the prices are unreasonable or that the servings are small. Most importantly, the food is good, the menu can be hit-or-miss (either in terms of trying new things, or in slight inconsistency of cooking), but most everything I've tried has been tasty and pretty authentic. I would highly recommend the salt and pepper squid, or any of the fried rice options.

Been wanting to try this place for a while now. Finally did last night. If you like Americanized Chinese food this is a good place for you. The type of Chinese restaurant that adds baby corns, water chestnuts american broccoli and bell peppers in just about every menu item.

I ordered vegetables with tofu and green beans in black bean sauce. It was backwards it was loads of tofu and very minimal vegetables. And for veggies it was american broccoli and celery and carrots. I was expecting loads of vegetables and less tofu as the menu reads mixed veggies with tofu. Any way the flavor was pretty good The green beans in black bean sauce the green beans were mostly over cooked it would have been much better had the green beans been less cooked. The flavor was good.

If your sentive like iam to MSG be sure to tell them no extra MSG. Because they use it here.

I think ill try them on an off night and try some thing completely different. But not a place that i will come to regularly.

This is an update I got take away from here tonight 15 Sept 2020. This is about my 4th visit since my frist one. Each time has never been as good as the 1st. And I feel Ill each and every time I eat here. Same tonight I can only stomache a spoon or two of the food. Because its too salty.i literally couldnt eat any more as my head throat and stomache is so over loaded with salt. I threw away about 90% of my food. I ordered green beans with black bean sauce and kung pow tofu. I dont like giving bad reviews. But this is some thing I thought worthy of sharing. Dont know where I will go for...

Truly atrocious. Wish I could give them zero stars. Ordered a combo with fried prawns, easily twice as much batter as prawns and still the prawns was overcooked and rubbery and the batter was mushy like they used precooked prawns. On to the pork fried rice. I did manage to find a piece of pork but it was not the usual BBQ pork you get in pork fried rice but a very small brown piece of meat which matched the rest of the rice which was a dark dingy brown, the whole thing was underseasoned or maybe totally unseasoned and tasted of nothing other than old oil/fat.

Finally the main dish schezuan chicken. This is marked as spicy on the menu so I was looking forward to this. Opened the lid to see yet more brown gloopy slimy sauce with equally brown vegetables or at least I think they were vegetables they might of been gummy candies with the texture but if they were then at least they would of tasted or something. The brown sauce was totally devoid of any flavour or spice. I could not see or taste any chili peppers. The pieces of chicken I did find must of been boiled with all the veggies as it was as soft and as tasteless which I found astonishing that it was even possible my daughters mcnougats have more texture and they are made of mincing up all the chicken.

Obviously I would not recommend the place and will actively go about of my way to recommend to not go there which is what I think the staff are trying to say when churning out...

UPDATE: 2022 7 years after this first review was written we still love Green Tea Kitchen. Their Sweet & Sour Chicken, Low Mien Noodles, Mandarin Beef and my long time favorite Chicken Curry are a must to try. They don’t give much rice with the order so you may want to order extra steamed rice or their Chicken Fried Rice is yummy too. Delivery is super fast and the food is always piping hot. We still don’t like the weird spongy egg rolls but the spring rolls are delicious. I am a particular fan of their Egg Flower Soup or Hot and Sour Soup. Both are super tasty and if ordered with their salad make for a lighter option. The salad btw is huge and so fresh. I’m always happy and my crew is always happy when we order from Green Tea Kitchen. We've been ordering from Green Tea Kitchen for 2 years and are very happy with their food and service. Delivery always arrives in a reasonable amount of time, sometimes super fast! Food is good,I recommend the Chicken Curry, Ginger Chicken and Steamed Potstickers. A few complaints are the consistency is off every once in awhile, meat slightly overcooked or not as spicy as usual. DO NOT order the egg rolls. They have an extra layer of breading making them jumbo, it does nothing but make them huge grease bombs and the bread coating tastes awful. This is the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5. Good basic...
