This place is really hit or miss. I suggest skipping on their food items and getting coffee only. I've been here about 3x now, when I first tried this place, I started by just ordering a latte & pastry. It was decent so I decided to come back with my bf and we had coffee along with some food - an avocado toast. The avocado toast was so small and minimal/ bland. So overpriced for what you're getting! I wish I would have taken a picture but it was honestly embarrassing. I couldn't believe it, definitely if you're planning on trying a good avocado toast skip it here.. go to Presso or Gold Cup instead Or even River Maiden -- (they have really good breakfast/lunch sandwiches & coffee!) The last and final time that I came here I decided to switch it up and come for lunch. I tried their Panini breakfast sandwich along with the seasonal iced drink that they had. Both were SO horrible, I didn't think I could've gotten worse, but it did. My drink was nothing but like syrup ?? it was so sweet and completely not what I expected, it was supposed to be a lemonade? My sandwich was super burnt!! I ended up getting these items to go because I was on my way to work. I ended up throwing both away and I haven't been back since! The aesthetic is cute with the swings and the tables and they have okay lattes, which is why they are only getting two stars from me. Also their customer service could be a bit better.

The coffee was good. However, the breakfast ciabatta is listed on the menu as being comprised of bacon, egg, cheese, and pesto, with no mention of having ranch dressing or tomato. I took it back to counter and told the very nice man working that if the menu would have mentioned those two ingredients, I could have requested them left off, but I had no idea they would come with the sandwich. He was very nice and said they would make a new one for me to-go. I took the box when he brought it out and I left. When I got home, the sandwich still had tomato on it. I tried to call the number listed on Google; it was out of service. I found a different phone number on IG, and got a hold of someone to request a refund. It’s too bad, because it could have been a nice experience, but now I’m out of the money I spent and I’m still hungry. It’s an easy thing to accurately describe a dish on your menu, especially when you’ve already made the effort to list half of the ingredients. It’s weird to leave others off and potentially face a situation like this with a customer.

I was pleasantly surprised to find this gem. It’s in a strip mall and certainly doesn’t stand out when you drive by but once you walk in the door you know you’ve found a great place to relax, grab some coffee or breakfast or lunch, or meet with friends. It’s the best coffee shop (outside of downtown Vancouver) I’ve found in the area. The seating options are as fun as they are varied. From their standard table and chair set up to their cosy but elegant couch and chairs arrangement they cover your needs. But then they take it up a notch by offering multiple areas with playful swings and tables. I swung with a friend for over an hour while eating breakfast and drinking coffee and was comfortable the entire time. It’s touches like this that separate Krays from anywhere else. Plus, I imagine they are a local small family owned business. Skip the corporate sellout drive through coffee stands and give yourself a much needed break by swinging on in to Krays. You won’t be disappointed.

This was our first time in. We came in on a Thursday around 11AM. We loved the food and coffee, but it was PACKED and people were camping even though more patrons were coming in. There were at least four tables that did not have drinks but were just... sitting there... while a dozen other people who were actually ordering food/drinks came in with nowhere to sit. One lady actually had her bags and jacket on TWO separate chairs at the community 8-top table so nobody could sit near her. The table we had selected was taken by two gals before they even ordered anything. I was finally able to nab a small 2-top table for us to sit at. I got my crepe and my SO got a breakfast sandwich. The huckleberry lattes were delish. We were delighted by the strawberry pastries. The employees had a great attitude about the whole thing and were doing a fantastic job. It is just frustrating standing and waiting nearly 20 minutes for an empty seat because other people want to sit and chat with an empty cup or water. Please don't camp tables or chairs if other people are standing and waiting. And please don't use your jacket or personal items to claim an 8-seat table because you are antisocial. The other patrons made the experience very negative and we may not go back again, sadly. But I am glad to have given them a...
