Simply Thyme Catering — Restaurant in Vancouver

I decided I wanted to use Simply Thyme for my wedding last fall. I started correspondence with Michael around that time. I felt his communication with me was always thorough and his responses were quick. Once I was able to meet with them and have the taste testing, I was blown away. Michael's personality is laid-back and relatable enough while still maintaining the professionalism and organization required to run this business. I was immediately comfortable and relaxed. I asked many, many questions as I was just in the beginning planning stages and he was very patient and helpful. Simply Thyme was also very flexible with the financial needs of my wedding. The way they do their menu, piece by piece is very unique and made having a nice, formal catered dinner possible.

Then I tried the food.. and oh, my, goodness. I am one of the pickiest eaters and their chicken was incredible. Easily the top three pieces of chicken I have ever had. Perfect amount of herbs and spices while still being delicious and juicy! I can't wait for my wedding day so I can have more! The green beans I tried were fresh and crispy and in my opinion, cooked just right. Exactly how I like it. Everything had just the best spices, wasn't too bland or too salty. It's important to me that my guests are impressed with my menu and I have no doubt they will be. The dinner plate was also very, very aesthetically pleasing. I am only doing two items on my dinner plate and I was worried this would make the plate look empty. Simply Thyme, Michael and Chef Tamara made it look incredible. My guests are going to be in awe once their food is placed in front of them. It's five-star restaurant quality food and presentation.

I know they have bad reviews from years and years ago and when I talked to them about this, they were honest about the issues within the company during those times. Now with Michael working there and Chef Tamara able to actually work on the food side of things, it's amazing how they have turned things around. I would not give their last reviews any credit because that's not how their company is anymore.

We had a wonderful office outing on Wednesday May 18th and we ordered our lunch from Simply Thyme Catering and Michael responded to my initial inquiry quickly, he was so accommodating to work with and easy to get a hold of. We ordered 18-20 boxed lunches with a few people who had some substitutions and each boxed lunch came with every employee's name on it with what they ordered and if they had any special requests which kept my mind at ease that everything came perfectly. (because lets face it when it comes to someone who is a picky eater they are generally a VERY picky eater). The delivery showed up right on time which was amazing because we were on a tight schedule, super painless I didn't need to sign anything, or scramble to grab payment we took care of everything over the phone, which freed me up to scramble to get everyone out of the office on time :).

I had Simply Thyme cater an event with about 120 boxed lunches and was VERY impressed with both the quality of the food and even more so with the service.

When I was searching for a caterer they responded promptly (unlike most) and provided a couple samples of sandwich boxes which helped me be confident our guests would be satisfied. They provided some ordering advice which helped me order the right number and type of lunches for an estimated number of guests. They were even flexible with dietary requirements! Their service and support continued throughout the process when I was at my busiest, which I can't say enough about (if you're an event planner, you know).

The menu is competitively priced, but what set Simply Thyme apart IMHO is the variety of gourmet sandwiches offered and that they include a NW style potato salad, when most places just offered a bag of chips and cookie (these were also included in their boxed lunches). The sandwiches were all delicious, well presented and perfect for our event.

Our guests were very happy with the lunch so this is one caterer I've put high on my list to use again. Did I mention that they're also a Clark County...
