Sushi Factory is a favorite of mine; It's not the best sushi I've ever had, but it is certainly far from the worst. I enjoy the ease of coming in, having a seat, and immediately helping myself to sushi. The sticker system allows you to figure out which plates are the freshest based on the time you visit, and which plates might have spent an hour spinning around on the conveyor.
For newcomers to the restaurant, or those looking to diversify their selections, keep in mind that you can special order off the menu—You can ask any of the waiters/waitresses for any of the rolls on the menu, and can even ask for a majority of them fried (A fried Philadelphia roll is something you should absolutely try if you enjoy salmon).
As for downsides, the quality of the food has gone down slightly since the pandemic. Meanwhile, prices have risen rather considerably (I would say approximately 15% increase over the last 4 years, but that's a very rough estimate). The place still runs the same, the dining experience is rather unaffected compared to pre-pandemic, but the food has taken a dip in quality that's noticeable and special-ordering is almost a must if you would like to try various kinds of sushi, as the conveyor is usually crowded with several plates of the same roll that nobody appears...
Read moreWe were three adults dining in and when we asked for a booth it was obviously an inconvenience as it must be the staff's table. I think that because they removed their drinks and there was a bowl of fried ingredients right by my head that sat there for about 20 minutes before the sushi chef grabbed the items to use in rolls he was making. It was an inconvenience when we asked for an item off their menu, hoping it would be prepared fresh (it wasn't). We patiently sat waiting for new dishes to be presented on the conveyor belt, going around and around, and it wasn't until we decided to leave that a very large stack of prepared dishes that had been set aside were placed on the belt. I am giving a second star as there was one young woman who did make an effort to check on us and we observed adding desserts and such to the belt. The rest of the staff/chefs (about five people) spent the whole time we were there loudly talking and laughing across the restaurant while the poor customers kept quiet and ate the paltry offerings. We have been going to this restaurant for many years and it just doesn't seem worth...
Read moreOn a regular weekday, my associate and I were interested in this facility since we were in the same parking lot. We were unaware of how late we were and didn't realize till we had sat down that the place closes at 8:30. It seems rather early.
In any case we were still seated anyway and were offered drinks. The hostess who got us our drinks was voicing her opinions and feelings towards the staff and the whole restauraunt.
One of the statements included, "We are not going to get done until 9:30!" This statement was the tone set for the 4 plates my associate and I took for our meal.
The sushi was decent. But the end of night atmosphere was completely unprofessional. As we were paying out, the hostess was still inconsiderate. Informing us after her rant that we could have stayed even after the closing of the store to enjoy our meal.
This sushi house was great. Unless the employees get their act together and respect the customers, we will not be sending any...
