My boyfriend and I walked in and no one told us where to sit or to seat ourselves. Because there was no one really in the dining room besides the bartender. So we just sat ourselves, and our server Makayla (she didn’t even tell us her name, we read her name tag) came over after about 5 minutes and asked what we want to drink and she went to get them and bring them over. And then we waited about 10 or 15 minutes to order an appetizer and we were also ready to order our food but she just scurried away really quickly and did not come back for about 30 minutes to ask us what we want for lunch when we were ready to order when we were ordering our appetizer. She never checked on us once and my boyfriend is the type of person who drinks a lot of his water and he only got one refill and he needed another one. I kept looking at her but she would just look at me and took care of the big table next to us constantly. The food took forever to come out! And she said the wings take 25 minutes and that’s why food took so long. I highly doubt it. They did not look broasted wings at all for them to take that long. But it was way longer than 30 minutes for food. I work at a sports bar and this was absolutely ridiculous. Our server did not care. We asked for a discount and she only gave us a few dollars off which is fine. But on the other hand my pizza was good, but the wings were really bad. When we were walking out another server smiled big and told us to have a good day. When our server didn’t even tell us that she just walked away after she handed us our check. I grew up at little York tavern because my family always went there but it was terrible service today. Did I mention that the restaurant wasn’t even busy? We were there for about 2 hours,...
Read moreThe "Tavern" has two completely different personalities. One by day, and the other by night. During the day it's more of a common sports bar atmosphere, like a Bdubs or a Frickers. Ddubs & Frickers don't morph into a completely different place when the clock strikes 11 though. Maybe the Tavern's history plays a roll in that. Those of us that remember it back when it was a quarter of its size.. maybe it needed to break free of those chains? At night the Tavern becomes something more like A club that collided with a sports bar. Maybe like a more laid back version of the masque. Not so much of a club that the age of people are restricted to their 20s though. Everyone of all ages enjoys a weekend night at the Tavern. I've personally met people from ages 18 to their 50 and 60s on the weekends. There always loud music but not so loud that you can't think straight. In the summer the music and "dance" floor is outside on the patio along with a second bar they open up in the warmer months. During the winter the music & dancing is brought inside. The primary bar takes over for the entire crowd. They do a good job keeping up too. The bar is structured for two lines. The longest I've ever waited is maybe 7 minutes at the busiest points of the night, compared to some places that's pretty good. Their security does a good job too, removing people instigating fights rather than letting it go on until the cops are called. All in all I'd say throughout my younger years it was definitely my favorite place to go when I wanted to get out and if I ever feel that itch again, they'll be at the...
Read moreHorrible Horrible waitresses, and over priced burnt food, Apparently it is common for them to cuss out customers and then go around to other tables bad mouthing other customers seemingly anyone that is not a friend of the waitresses. When the food and drink orders came out all wrong the waitresses Immediately blame the table/Customers and then cuss and slam things again as if this is everyday practice for them. After bringing the matter to the manager I was informed "Wow" they normally don't do that in front of the customers. Yet never bothered to speak with any of the rude and useless waitresses. and after speaking with a few other "regulars" i was told the waitresses always act rude to customers and when the food is burnt wrong or way late will always blame the customers for it, and cuss at them. After seeing all this I will never recommend anyone spend any money at little york tavern. Its is Burned bland over priced food with very very very poor customer service and horrible waitresses., and the bathrooms are just disgusting If i could give it neg stars i would. And no i will not be giving you a second chance after seeing all the other 1 star reviews pretty much saying the same thing i experienced. Little York tavern Needs to just close its doors for good or get all new...
