I have bought work boots there for many years. But never again! I bought my last pair there a few weeks ago. And never wore them outside, due to their return policy. So you walk around the house a little bit and sit on the couch with your new boots on. I wore them to work once this past week and after ten hours of on my feet i was blistered bad. I took the boot back last night to be stretched, like I know that they do. So I wound up talking to a guy there at the store last night, who basically told me that they wouldn't even try to stretch it out for me. That I couldn't return them. And that basically I wasted $200 dollars on a pair of work boots that I bought from them weeks ago. Worn to work once, and yes I still have the receipt. So if anyone that knows me out there, I NO LONGER RECOMMEND BUYING WORK BOOTS THERE, OR ANYTHING ELSE FOR THAT MATTER. And I now have two pairs of previously owned work boots sitting around here because I couldn't return them, or get my money back. Thanks to Boot country and another boot store down in Franklin, Ohio. Boot country, you know my name, Tony Phillips, you have my phone number. Working with me on this issue is the only way to help this review and my opinion of your store and...
Read moreThis place could be so much better, but they seem to have taken the path of, "We are all you have to choose from, so take it or leave it". The selection of boots is decent, but the selection of real work clothing is not. Problem is, there just aren't too many other places to get real workwear in Dayton, and they know that. My suggestion would be to order things on line, or sadly just shop outside of Dayton. The prices here are also pretty high. Yes, I've taken in to consideration the times we live in, Supply Chain issues, Bidenflation, and their prices are still pretty steep considering. Maybe I'm looking at this all wrong, they do sell a lot of boots to a lot of people who don't actually ride horses, wouldn't know what to do with one, and who also drive lifted 4x4's which have never been used in mountainous terrain. So, perhaps they just have a great business model selling to people who wish they were somewhere else, and are just trying to look the part. Butler Township / Vandalia...
Read more5 years ago I said: I understand that theft hits small businesses hard but at this place it was as if they'd lost all faith in humanity. I'm not even sure what you could steal there but I guess people find a way. Best wishes to the owners.
At that time I was totally turned off to this location and never intended to come back. Ironically I found a location that I liked and frequented that location every year since. Then this year a found a model that I liked but the only place with my size was this location. I figured I'd stop in, get the boots and be out. Not before they had me try on the boots in front a camera, and then check and double check the boots in the box vs the box vs each other and all this having never left the the front of the store, never having been out of sight if the counter. Someone hurt these people and it's hurting their customer encounters. Guess it's back to the location I...
