I feel profiled ! I was told to give the payment for my food at the table while I was still eating . Anyone who eats at Bob Evans, including myself, knows that you take the receipt upfront to scan and pay, always ! I could understand if I asked her to take it and pay for me, but no . She demanded that I give her the payment (she wasn't rude might I add, but still very demanding about it which is crazy because it's not normal) . I stopped eating to take out my debit and give it to her, although, I questioned her request . She then had the nerve to ingore me and ask what tip I was giving her . I explained I usually calculate it at the machine when I go upfront to pay . She asked me two more times what I wanted her to put for her tip . I said again I normally pick from the machine or enter my own when I go to pay. I felt completely embarrassed and confused . I felt pressured to pay and tip.. I wasn't even done eating ! I couldn't believe she kept pressing the situation even after I said I choose my own tip and I normally pay upfront myself . I retrieved my debit when she kept asking about her tip amount and I kept giving the same reply . I usually go to B.E. with family at Huber Heights or by myself on Wilmington Pike . I've never experienced such a thing in 8+yrs . Wilmington Pike has been perfect thus far (I've only been in the mornings after work) ! Huber has had forgetful/rude/neglectful/raging/ complaining/emotional waitresses here and there, over the years . I try to sympathize or ignore their behavior because you never know what has happened that day with other customers/employees or if they're going through something in their personal life and can't control their emotions / lack attentiveness at work . Her pretending like I had to pay at the table and continued to press the situation after I expressed my confusion can't be sympathize with . There is no reason/explanation for it other than that I was profiled . I watched her do 3 booths/tables prior to the incident and 2 after . She didn't demand table payment from anyone, but me . I even over heard her later explain to two older ladies diagonal to my booth to take their tab and pay upfront . The only differences from her other 5 sets of guest and I is our race and ages, but I'm not say I was racially profiled just saying profiled period because I don't know why she did what she did . Either way she looked at me and assume something and she decided to take the course of actions she did . I know this is not something B.E. does and if it's new they need to apply it to every guess not just 1/6 tables (1/11 guess) . I shouldn't have to feel like this and being stared at makes everything worse . No one should be or likes being singled out, especially publicly with people staring, and for absolutely no reason . This was my first time at this location because I had an appt near by . I just don't understand why she felt she had to lie and force a table payment and kept demanding it after I expressed my confusion! I would like to think I'm ordinary looking woman so what would make her surmise that I could not afford it or was not going to pay for my meal ???And when inorder I expressed I get the same thing every time so thinking I was new is out the window . Although unhealthy at times, I'm privileged enough to eat out/take out at actual restaurants everyday of the week which I actually do majority of the month ! I go to B.E. frequently and spend $25-100 each trip depending if I'm alone or treating others . Plus I give $20-60%+ tips because I ran customer service for years back in the day so I know how it is and i like to show the ones who do well it pays off because I'm fortunate enough to . Anyways... I kept it cool, calm, collected, and cute.. finished my food and went to pay upfront just like everyone else . Also, gave her a 0% tip because the whole situation was uncalled for !! I shouldn't have had to deal with repetitive aggression / bs . I work third shift so I just wanted to eat peaceful, make my appt, then go...

Asked a second time for Wildfire sauce and they again brought Wildfire dressing. *Claimed to by busy but I only seen 6 tables in use *Never brought the Wildfire sauce *Corn and potatoes on my meal were super cold and the chicken was warm but not hot. *Biscuits were hard and cold *Waitress didn't come back to check on us until we were almost done eating and our drinks were empty. *Waitress did not cleared the table *Waitress did not asked if we needed refills even when ALL of our drinks were empty.
Once the waitress did come back to check on us she asked if everything was okay and then I complained about the food. Then she asked if there was anything I would like her to do about it. I told her she could ask the manager to discount the meal.
She returned and said the manager would discount the meal 10%. The manager didn't come to the table to discuss problem.
Waitress returned sometime later and asked if the manager had been over to talk woth me and I said no. Waitress came back and said the manager removed my dinner from the bill. Manager still never came by.
I had to get my bill at the register because the waitress never came back to give it to me.
I gave a 1-star rating for the kind personality the waitress did have on the few times that we encountered her and that my meal was removed from the bill. Other than that, the entire experience was completely worthy of zero stars. Especially the unprofessionalism of the manager not making a...
Read moreI had to give one star to get the comments to come up. We were there for lunch at 1pm on Friday 11-09-2019. First let me say our waitress was great and did everything she could. I ordered chic & noodles with a side of mashed potatoes. My friend ordered a pick 2 pot roast sandwich and cup of potato soup. My side and his 1/2 sandwich came out in a timely manner. Both the chix and noodles and the potato soup came out almost 45 minutes later. The waitress kept apologizing. She kept saying they were getting new soup out. It's made in a commissary and shipped to the store, heat and serve. Not sure what the problem was. The manager on duty visited the table across from us and discussed the potato shop with them.....us nothing. I could she she cleared the orders off the monitor ( as if the were completed. ) The waitress kept filling the water and apologizing. Years ago there was a large issue at the carry out counter sn the manager on duty three his hands up and went outside to smoke. I spoke to him then and he didn't care. I spoke to the home office, they apologized but no action(s). It seems since the Bob Evan's restaurants were sold off, they have gone downhill. Way down. I will say the Troy Ohio store is excellent. If you need to stop on Miller Ln at I75 & I70, I recommend you pick someplace other than the Bob Evan's there. I won't be back there and I can walk there from my house. This particular store is an embarrassment to the other good businesses here. Again, our server, Addison did a great job and got a nice tip for good service. Bye-bye Bob Evan's #23 7400 Miller...
