I came here to eat with my family because my brother was visiting from out of state and we wanted to go somewhere he didn’t get to enjoy where he lived. We were seated and immediately asked our drink order. Our server didn’t tell us whether there were Coke or Pepsi products served at the restaurant. We gave her our drink order, and then she immediately asked for our food order. We let her know we would be a minute because someone was in the bathroom and she said she would be back in a little while to get our order. This is where confusion and frustration took hold- we weren’t offered any sort of menu or told we wouldn’t be given a menu and should look up the menu on our phones. So, already being asked our food and drink orders without being given a chance to look at a menu was a bit off putting. After a while of our server leaving us alone we got the picture we weren’t getting a menu and we didn’t see one posted anywhere for us to order from our seats so we looked up the menu online. When our server came back for our order I asked if they still had potatoes and she said yes. I ordered and my family gave her their orders. She leaves to put it in and then comes back to tell me that they were out of the potatoes and the kitchen didn’t call it out. I told her I would just take fries instead. She brought out our order and we were given an extra coney, she offered to take it off of the bill but it really wasn’t a big deal to us and told her it was fine and not to worry about it. The food was good and my family and I did enjoy our meal.
My only real concern here is the obvious lack of communication that seems to be happening in the establishment. From our server failing to communicate effectively with us and the kitchen failing to communicate to the waitstaff it seemed like there was a real lack of management for a busy...
Read moreI came in today for lunch and was disappointed to say the least. In my opinion, it was not very busy. My server Madison seemed like she could not manage her time and tables very well. Maybe she was having a bad day, I don't know?
That said, another employee told her that I had been waiting for service after I seated myself. Madison refilled my soda one time during my lunch. Another server who was not responsible for my table, kept my drink filled the other few times. This should've been handled solely by Madison but it wasn't.
I ordered a large 4-way and a small side of the new mac-n-cheese -- the mac-n-cheese was room temperature if that. Personally, I do not like food that is not served hot and fresh. This is a great way to get sick and probably get sued for food poisoning.
For this visit, I am rating 2 out of 5 stars because the 4-way was good and I did not have to wait very long for my meal. Madison needs to pay more attention to the customers and to her tables. The mac-n-cheese should...
Read moreMy visit to Skyline Chili was transformed into an extraordinary culinary adventure the moment I tasted their cheese coney. It was not just incredible; it was a masterful symphony of flavors that danced across my palate. The hot dog was perfectly cooked, nestled in a soft, warm bun that seemed to hug every curve and crevice of the meat. The chili, a rich and savory concoction, was generously ladled over the top, its spices and textures mingling in perfect harmony. But the crowning glory was the cheese – oh, the cheese! Melted to just the right consistency, it cascaded down the sides, creating a delightful contrast of warm, gooey indulgence with the other components. Each bite was a moment of bliss, a testament to the culinary prowess of Skyline Chili. This wasn't just food; it was an experience, one that I highly recommend to anyone seeking not just a meal, but a memorable...
