I recently visited the Goodwill located at 6868 Miller Ln, Dayton, OH 45414, and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised by my experience. As someone who typically prefers thrift stores over Goodwill, I approached this visit with low expectations, but I found a diverse selection of items that caught my eye. The store boasted an impressive array of clothing, including skirts, shorts, outerwear, and a variety of accessories like purses, scarves, hats, and jewelry. Additionally, I was delighted to see a range of household items, from mugs to stuffed animals, blankets and seasonal decorations.
One aspect that stood out was the cleanliness and organization of the store. It felt well-maintained, making it easy to navigate through the aisles. The staff members were friendly and knowledgeable, which added to the positive atmosphere. However, I did find it slightly unprofessional to overhear staff discussing another team member openly; it created a bit of a distraction.
Checkout was a breeze, thanks to Miss Vivian, who was quick and efficient. I appreciated her mentioning it was senior day, although it was a bit awkward since I did not qualify for the discount. I was also surprised to learn about their return policy, which offers store credit within seven days of purchase, but no cash refunds.
Overall, while I didn't find a plethora of items that would compel me to return immediately, I would recommend this Goodwill location for its variety and cleanliness. It’s worth checking out if you’re in the area and looking for...
Read moregrabbed a pocket tee shirt off the front rack that was clearly labeled as being $2.99 and went to the register. lady ringing me up told me it would be $5 something, which i pointed out it was a tee shirt. she argued that it was a short sleeve shirt, and wouldn't understand that i got it off the $2.99 rack. went back and forth for a minute before i walked out and left more confused than anything, as aren't tee and short sleeve shirt synonymous? maybe she meant she thought it was a polo type shirt, which are the shirts that are on the $4.99 rack she was trying to ring me up for?
i shop at all the local goodwills including this one frequently to the point that my wardrobe is 75% from y'all, this is my sole negative experience i have had. if i can't pop tags and change the prices as i wish in store, why can the clerk change the price without contest at...
Read moreThis lady in front of me was trying to buy a plain tank top and they were trying to charge her $5 for it instead of the $2.99 or so because it wasn't a "T-Shirt". They basically ARGUED with her over it and she got out of line and stepped to the side and returned it without even leaving the store. What kind of trifling greedy ass world has this become when you won't let her have it for $2.99 when it even has LESS PHYSICAL MATERIAL USED IN THE CREATION PROCESS OF THE GARMENT? I don't know if they think they are trying to stand on business or what but you're going to stand yourself out of business when people stop coming over crap like this that I witnessed. The only person you are making richer is these millionaire division CEOs. You know you have problems when someone comes to complain about how ANOTHER customer...
