Let me start by saying it mostly the service that really turned off my wife and I when we visited back in September. Christian was our server. He quickly came and greeted us after we sat down at a table. I barely was able to look at the menu before he asked us what we would like. We asked for his preferences and he rattled off half the menu as being delicious. We wanted a round of drinks before we ordered our food and that seem to bother him. Mind you, this is a Saturday evening with college football on all of thier TVs.. We decided on a couple of burgers. Food came pretty quick and before I took a bite he came over to the table to ask for everything tasted. I told him I would let him know as soon as I could taste the food. My wife and I started to eat our food as Christian showed up again to see how things were going. My mouth was full of food as he came by, so I gave a hand jesture as to say So-So. He asked if we wanted the check. My wife and I decided to order another round of drinks (enjoying watching the football). He wasn't happy about it. After he dropped off the drinks he asked if we wanted the check again. By that time my wife started to get irritated. After that, he kept coming up every 5 minutes asking for the check and the only thing we w we wanted to do was have more food and drinks.. we left, unsatisfied and unappreciated for our visit.. I guess maybe next time, hopefully without Christian...
Read moreI'm a truck driver from Mississippi. Made a delivery to American Freight in Venice Florida. I was Looking for a hamburger before going back on the road. I was told to go to BrewBurgers . Let me tell you I'm sure glad I did. First off I have to say. When you walk in the atmosphere is awesome . Maddy and her crew are the best . The hospitality , courtesy is top notch. You don't find that these days. A place you can take your family out to eat at and have a great time . Everyone smiles and talks to you just like you were family back home on the back porch . Second the food was awesome all the way to the sweet tea. Had 2 glasses by the way. Thank you again Maddy for the great hospitality you and your crew treated me with . I know I said I probably won't get the chance to get back this way again, but I surely hope to be back this away again one day and for sure stop in and say hi and eat the delicious food served at BrewBurgers. I almost forgot the music is perfect, you hear great classic rock and roll music in the back ground , it's not to low and not to loud . Its perfect for you to carry on a conversation and enjoy the company of others while eating delicious food. If you haven't eaten at BrewBurgers your missing out. Venice...
Read moreI stopped in here after looking for a new place to try. I ordered on DoorDash pickup, because it was easy. I got there, told me DoorDash wasn't working. Fine, cancel it and rering me. She told me she cancelled the order. I sat and waited, watching the cooks, manager, cashier, waitress- no masks. Not only no masks, but touching their faces, touching money then food, no sanitary behaviors or practices at all.
I get that masks are a touchy subject, you offend someone either way, but it was still a mandate in the city at the time. Additionally, hearing the staff talk about how they couldn't wait until Friday, when they didn't have to wear one anymore. Maybe you learn to properly handle food before you worry about not wearing masks.
Some people have high-risk health concerns and when you accept a job to serve people, you accept the responsibilities that come with that. I'd never support a business who didn't care, or who didn't care about food hygiene beyond that.
On another note, when I got home, I noticed they charged me both way. They literally accepted the DoorDash order After I left the restaurant and already paid. So, way to try to...
