Moons Thai Cuisine — Restaurant in Ventura

We placed a very large takeout order for a family birthday celebration. We ordered a variety of food and every item was absolutely excellent! The ingredients are fresh and the tastes are clearly based upon authentic Thai recipes.

The staff was also very helpful in accommodating gluten free entree options, all which were fantastic. We had from ages 8 to 88 and everyone loved their meals! The portions are very generous and many of us packed up lunch for the next day. We all commented how great the food was the next day!

We’ve also eaten in the restaurant several times and the dining area is clean and nicely decorated. The staff is very friendly and makes you feel like you are at home!

If you haven’t tried Moons Thai Cuisine yet, do yourself a favor and give it a shot! The price is right and you will feel good about having eaten a delicious meal, made with high quality...

My husband and I drove up from Orange County, and came here for dinner before a concert at the Ventura Music Hall. We came ready to have a sit-down dinner, but the space is DEFINITELY MORE FOR PICK-UP.

Further, the plates were mostly paper, and there was no alcohol. I'm not upset, I just wish I had known beforehand what to expect. The food was pretty good, but we felt rushed to allow others to use our table in the limited space, and then ate too fast and felt sick.

We then had tons of extra time before the concert - because, again, it is a quick, pick up spot, so we ended up going to another restaurant for drinks, and to kill more time. Hopefully this review will help someone else coming from out of town re what to expect! We would eat here again, but maybe for lunch, or...

Hey there, I just moved to Ventura a few weeks ago. Joined Nextdoor. Someone recommended Moons Thai that recently opened. I am always in search of great Thai food. I work long hours so my son and I unfortunately eat out often. I am so happy I did. Yum! I ordered online quite late. They close at 9PM and I think I put my order in past 8:30. I showed up just before 9:00 and my order was perfect! I ordered my food NOT spicy because my son has stomach troubles. They made a point to ask me if I wanted to spice it up with a side of chili sauce. Yes. Thank you! Everything was spot on for my taste. I ordered the Pad Z ewe. Chicken saute and pork gyoza.
