It’s hard to write this. You’ve been in my life for as long as I can remember. Through childhood, heartbreak, celebrations, and you were always there. I was loyal. I defended you. I brought friends to meet you. I told stories about you. I thought you’d be my one and only forever.

I tried to keep it quiet at first — telling myself it was just a fling, that nothing could replace what we had. But the truth is, I can’t hide it anymore. I’m telling friends. I’m telling family. And now… I’m making it public.

The flavors are fresher. The salsas are bolder. Every bite feels like something I’ve been missing but didn’t know I needed. The carne asada is more tender, the al pastor is pure magic, and even the beans taste like they’re cooked with more love.

I’ll always remember you, Corrales. You were my first love. But Taqueria Cuernavaca Express has stolen my heart.

Having been here for the first second time, the first time I ordered through grub hub. I had a few deceptions on the order I made. Fortunately I called to let them know I was left without a taco and missing a few things. Ian politely explained to me their technical difficulty that day and *offered to remake the entire order another day and apologized immediately!

I am impressed the way he handled the situation and even though I was previously super upset and hangry, I felt better at seeing they took responsibility for my hangry ness and attempted their best to make it up to me.

After my lack of time, I was credited the amount by then and later used it on the next visit. I'm surprised there are still employees who know how to handle customers professionally and promptly. Believe me, I've seen other wise at other restaurants.

The chicken tinga burrito is the best burrito I have had in Ventura. I have had some decent burritos so far, but I felt like I was missing the homely feeling and this one delivered. I am surprised, I didn't think a taco shop in DT Ventura would have the authenticity I've been craving, which is why I hesitated to try it. I feel like I'm eating something my nana would make. Everything in the burrito has a distinct flavor, which is important because some places throw in a combination of flavorless items that subtract more that they add. I even came back a week later to try it again and it was exactly the same. Consistency with something tasty is ideal. I also love the salsas offered here.
