Romp's Dairy Dock — Restaurant in Vermilion

It was 9:01, I walked up to check, they waived me over like “come here quick” only to tell me through a CLOSED window “WERE CLOSED” which I didn’t hear as I gave them my order, until halfway through it. They didn’t knock. They just laughed at me as I talked to them (I didn’t know the window was closed).

Just open the window and say you’re closed.

The whole place was packed with people hanging out, no sign that said closed. Why waive a customer to a window that is CLOSED?

They need a sign, or to be kind enough to open a window. Overall, I’m not going to this place. It was not the first time they have been rude.

Awesome locally owned and operated ice cream stand that is a hit with locals and visitors alike. You will frequently find the owners and their family behind the counter along side their employees. The ice cream is to die for and you can get something as simple as a twist cone or they have toppings for something more complex. A favorite is the crunch coat that can be added to a cone. Literally come here all the time, but tonight just rubbed me the wrong way. Ordered a waffle cone with orange/vanilla twist. The ice cream was so soft it was already running down the cone before it was even in my hand. It would have been pure liquid in about 5 minutes. I asked if I could just have a chocolate vanilla cone instead since it was more formed. The amount of attitude I received for an ice cream cone was pretty ridiculous.
