I’ve visited this location a few times and my experience has usually been disappointing unfortunately. The last time though, the guy making my sandwich seemed so incredibly annoyed to have anyone in there and was just rude. I was the only customer to walk in, he didn’t greet me. I said Hi, still nothing. He had a look on his face of just pure annoyance the entire time. He didn’t really talk as much as gesture to the toppings and I told him what I wanted. He made my sandwich fine but was just so disinterested and clearly didn’t want to be there at all. More people came in while I was paying and he got visibly more irritated and didn’t greet them either. That experience alone made me decide to never come back to this location again. In previous trips they’ve also tried to leave stuff off my sandwich saying that most people order it that way, but I didn’t. Read moreI ordered two subs on the app and on the bottom of the block it asks for special instructions. On there for one of the subs we put “pepper relish on the side, extra banana peppers, please and thank you.” Upon arriving home it was discovered there was a metric ton of relish on the sandwich itself. There was also so much vinegar that the bread disintegrated; it was so wet that I couldn’t pick up the sandwich with my hands because honestly there was no sandwich. It was deli meat on top of soup. We did mess up our own order and placed an order for only one bag of chips. When we noticed, we paid for the other bag to take home and the staff was incredibly friendly. I usually go inside at this location but my baby had fallen asleep in the car so it was more convenient to place an order. Read moreWent to the Vernon Hills store and the place was filthy and the assistant gm was rude and an extremely poor representation of the company. 0 customer service skills, he seemed to be annoyed the moment I walked in and throughout making both sandwiches. He was mad that I asked for cold toppings for my hot sub before he wrapped it and then proceeded to tell me in an annoyed tone that I should have told him that before he made the sub. WHY in the world would that matter and I'm the customer and also a retail manager and his response should have been "no problem". Thank goodness this isn't my normal location because I would not be returning. He was sure to tell me that he was the assistant manager or assistant gm when I asked for his name as if that would be an excuse for his behavior.
