First Watch is consistently good in all aspects. The food es delicious and the servers are friendly and efficient. I had the best breakfast this morning, the Bacado, yum! Instead of potatoes I chose the salad greens which had a vinaigrette dressing with just a touch of spiciness. The coffee was excellent also. Will continue to return to First Watch.
Update September 30, 2023. I have walked away twice from this place, the first time was around August or beginning of September, I believe it was a Saturday. It was very hot outside. My husband and I asked the front desk to seat us. The hostess told us it would be a few minutes before we could be seated but for us to wait outside on the bench. We waited outside for maybe 15 minutes. When no response we again went to check at the front to see what the status of our table was as we were hungry and it was very hot outside. The hostess told us she couldn’t seat us until the manager gave their ok. We saw there were several tables available. Set up and empty. We pointed this out and she said I am sorry but I cannot seat anyone u til the manager gives the ok. So we left, hungry, hot, and disappointed. The second time was September 30, Saturday. I was alone, I was in a hurry and just wanted to get a bite to eat. It was busy as usual. I was seated at a table for two. No one came to offer me coffee or water or acknowledge I was there. 15 minutes went by. I tried to catch the servers (a few) attention but they ignored me and served all the other customers around me! I got up and left. That type of lack of service or lack of coordination of service is unacceptable. I left and told the front desk that I had been ignored. I doubt that I will give this place a third chance. Their service is not consistent. It is too bad because they...
Read moreI want to start by saying that the overall service and my specific waiter were excellent, and the breakfast here has always been something I’ve enjoyed and recommended. However, my experience this morning with friends was deeply disappointing due to the behavior of one staff member, which felt inappropriate and uncalled for.
While I was enjoying breakfast with two friends before we headed to the polls, I noticed that one of the waiters seemed visibly upset by my friends’ attire, which reflected their political beliefs. Throughout the meal, she appeared frustrated and made her feelings clear through body language. Though we were simply enjoying our breakfast, she made us feel unwelcome.
The situation escalated when this waiter, distinguished by her bold eyeliner and glitter makeup, walked by our table and tossed a stack of napkins, which landed on my friend’s food. She offhandedly said, “Oh, I had these in my hand,” and walked away. We were shocked by this unnecessary display. It felt disrespectful and left us questioning the professionalism and inclusiveness of this establishment.
I believe everyone should feel comfortable dining out, regardless of their beliefs, as long as they act respectfully. We were there to enjoy a meal, not to make a political statement, and it was upsetting to be treated differently based on our appearance.
While I had previously recommended this place, I’m not sure I would return after this experience. I hope management considers providing guidance to staff to ensure that all customers feel welcome and respected, regardless of personal views. Me and my friends are...
Read moreWell, I’ve been here quite a bit since yall opened. One of my typical favorite breakfast places. I went out today with my husband since we don’t get out much anymore since getting pregnant since nothing sounds good to eat for the last 3 months. Our server Christian was really sweet and honestly one of the best servers I’ve gotten here. He’s a keeper. I ordered the maple bacon croissant sandwich and my husband ordered the new chicken hash. There was a bit do a wait but it’s a Sunday it’s expected, we’re enjoying our time. When the old lady server with the short hair cut and glasses brings over 2 dishes and says the million dollar sandwich. I barely remember what I ate yesterday being pregnant but I know that’s not what I ordered. So when I said, oh I didn’t order that She scoffed basically barked at me it was the maple sandwich with the bacon so I’m like Oh yeah then that’s my sandwich and slammed it on the table.
Look I get she’s older and the restaurant was packed but that’s no excuse for her attitude. I had half a mind to leave in the middle of breakfast because now I’m pissed. I’ve been here for years I know the difference between both of the damn sandwiches. She soured my morning and frankly I don’t think about coming back here again.
Again, Christian fantastic guy, I’d go back again with him as my server but not the old coot. And that’s me being nice saying that.
Do better. Food was great...
