This little gem in Vero left us with a new found love for the delicious vibrant flavors we found in very dish. The smell of fresh garlic and herbs greeted us as we walked through the door. We carefully read the detailed menu and still had plenty of questions for our delightful waitress. We tried tender cheese cubes that had peppers and onions in a sweet tangy sauce as an appetizer. It was so good we chose mild as our spice level. They brought out a complimentary cracker that I can only describe as amazing. It was a crunch like no other chuch I've ever had before. The cracker was rolled into a little tube shape, paired with a mint sauce that was equally delicious. I'm a soup person, so of course I had to order the Chicken soup. The savory flavors flooded my taste buds with joy. Here is your sign to order the chicken soup. Our flavor adventure had just began when all of the sudden we hear a echo of sizzling silence the chatter of the resturant. As we gaze in awe at the approaching dish I quickly grab my phone to capture this moment. In front of us was a sizzling cast iron dish with juicy lamb chops over a bed of cabbage. The chops were tender with a little fat that just melted in our mouth along with the salty savory sauce that coated it. We will definitely be back the...
Read moreWe have been eating this gentleman’s food for over 10 years. It’s quiet and colorful, genuinely a step outside of our typical world. Beautifully normal as itself with our family transported into the faraway center of the Chef’s soul.
We were indeed on a quest. Our son dealing with a “cold” needed spices that could be tasted and felt. The night was a coolish balminess of the Wintry Tropics. Our senses on alert having just left the art galleries and flower shop.
We were seated next to a table of five young Chinese men. Their chatter all a tangle of vowelish sounds with sharp consonants at beginning and end. All with phones enabled they ordered and readied for the experience. When the trays with food arrived the tone was quiet and respectful of its presentation. The monotones of plates and food were calming. The aromas and fullness of the plates were sensational.
Our order of food arrived. My wife asked for level two heat, our son level four, and I at level three. Each had its own sweetness and characteristic of spices and ingredients. Grouper for my wife, Vegetables for our son, and Shrimp for myself, it was fantastic. It ran the gamut of backgrounds of elements to bind or push the recipes. The meals were...
Read moreMy fiancé and I came here for dinner and were not disappointed! We love Indian food and enjoy trying new spots around town. We also loooove spicy food!
This restaurant is under new management and we had the pleasure of chatting with the owner, Suman, who told us they’ve created a whole new menu and he’s worked hard to get the flavors just right. We’ve been to two of his other restaurants, Taj in Port Saint Lucie, and Zeera in Juno Beach and I can definitely say that Taj Mahal Masala is on par with those other restaurants, which we find are also excellent!
We had the samosas and chicken dumplings for our appetizers, which were delicious. The dumplings were served with a rich and spicy tomato sauce and the samosas tasted so fresh.
I ordered my chicken korma spicy which provided a perfect balance with the creamy nutty flavor. Definitely recommend! My fiancé ordered the lamb Rogan Josh, his go-to, which he said was the perfect level of spice.
The presentation of the dishes was also really nice. I wish I’d thought to take a photo but it smelled so good we dug right in. We’ll definitely be back! Excited to see how the restaurant develops as they build up...
