Tuohy’s Downtown — Restaurant in Vero Beach

This establishment is very beautiful. We dined out on the patio, it was very cozy with a cross breeze making for a very comfortable and enjoyable environment. Our server was Nichole (with an H). She was very knowledgeable and attentive. We were very well taken care of. Last but not least I would like to talk about the food. ABSOULTLY AMAZING! We started with oysters and Filet Gorgonzola Eggrolls, by far the best eggroll that I have ever eaten. These eggrolls are so good that I have been thinking about them incessantly since the first bite. I almost canceled my entree and ordered more eggrolls but I am glad that I didn't because it was also phenomenal. I had a Prime Rib Flatbread and again, it was so good that I can not stop thinking about it. I also ordered a side of Potato Wedges, they were outstanding! I know, Potato Wedges, no kidding, these are elevated Potato wedges, which I never knew was possible to elevate such a thing but they have done it at Tuohy's Downtown. The Doc had the Scallops and Mashed Potatoes. The Scallops were seared to perfection and the Mashed Potatoes were to die for. The young lad had a Drive In Burger and couldn't stop talking about how good it was. Little miss had a Blackened Chicken sandwich and she was extremely happy with it. The food here is the best that I have EVER eaten in Vero Beach. Every bite, every item, the best! I would highly recommend this restaurant because if you have not tried it you don't know what the best tastes like. I gave it 5 stars because I couldn't give it 500 stars but they deserve it. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Tuohy’s Downtown over Valentine’s Day weekend and let me tell you - it was an absolute delight! The ambiance was lovely, with a nice patio and bar area. Although the inside could get a bit loud, the overall experience was well worth it.

One of the standout dishes of the night was the Filet Gorgonzola Eggrolls - they were truly spectacular. The combination of flavors was outstanding and the portions were just right. Another highlight was Kimi’s Creamy Sweet Onion Soup, which had a delicious flavor and a generous portion size that left plenty of room for the main course.

For our entrees, we tried the Chimichurri Snapper and Audra’s Filet. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare, so tender that it practically melted in your mouth. The snapper was also cooked to perfection, with a delicious sauce and impeccably prepared green beans.

Since I’m a big fan of both carrot cake and cheesecake, I was thrilled to find a dessert that combined the two, and the Carrot Cake Cheesecake we ordered was truly awesome.

Overall, I would rate my experience at Tuohy’s Downtown a solid 10/10 for a date night. While it may be on the expensive side, the quality of the food and the overall dining experience make it well worth the price. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to have a special and...

My husband and I went to Tuohy's restaurant (in downtown Vero) last night and we will definitely be repeat customers!! We were greeted so sweetly at the door and all the staff (especially Audra the co-owner and Callie our server) were very attentive to all our needs throughout our dinner. It is an extremely clean and aestetically pleasing restaurant and the only way I can describe the feeling you get when you walk inside is that it felt very homey!! We shared the shrimp boulettes and it was so perfectly cooked that I almost forgot I was sharing it (which my husband kept reminding me all night)!! My husband had the guiness cottage pie and I had the andoille sausage & chicken pasta. Both were delicious and very generous portions. We topped it off with coffee w/a shot of bailey's cream and key lime pie. That key lime pie was the real deal and we left so full and we had left overs for today!! I know people have said that this place is loud because of the acoustics, but last night was not bad at all and the place was busy. My husband and I were chatting the entire time we were there and didn't have a problem hearing each other at all.
