Saw this place on line. Took my wife here for our 35th Wedding Anniversary and was not displeased. Place is AMAZING, we actually came from Pensacola, Fl. to eat here, well and some Antique shopping. We did wait about 45min but that was on a Saturday night and I feel is expected. We opted to get seated in the larger dining area, which it not bad at all, 3 large glass garage doors on either side still gives you great views, and further along in the evening, they opened two of these doors. The food, W O W !!!!!! THE FOOD WAS AMAZING!!!! Wife had the porkchop and I had the red fish....and actually some of her porkchop. WOW!!! hats off the kitchen staff. And about the staff, I can not say enough about them, they were Amazing and well, all worked together as a team, like watching a Swiss pocket watch with all the mechanisms working as one unit, it was a real pleasure to watch this team. The owner, who I think was the owner, working right there with them at the server table, checking on and getting the orders out. Now that is an owner who I can respect, gets right in there, "in the trenches". I did not see any complaints between the staff at all, WOW!, you guys are AMAZING!!! If you are even a few hrs away from Vicksburg, Mississippi, you have got to make a point to get to 10 Rooftop Bar & Grill you will not be disappointed. AMAZING food!!!, GREAT staff!!!!, AWOSOME views!!!!! what more is there. Wife said I did a good job selecting this restaurant!! Highly recommend 10 South...
Read moreDrove 45 minutes to get to this place. Only to get an unenthusiastic server and poor service. The appetizer we ordered (poutine) was overly salty....after alerting the server and surviving a 45 second awkward silence he told us that he "would see if they would offer a refund" and when I asked to speak with a manager he informed us that he was the manager. Needless to say we ended up paying for an inedible appetizer that we sent back and was offered no way to remedy the situation. Our entrees of redfish and blackened catfish left much to be desired...but who would dare complain to the manager/server that was tending to us. The drinks HAD TO BE Shirley Temples I'm almost certain they contained ZERO alcohol. Which is a bust seeing as though we had to play 20 questions with the NARC server about the year we were born AFTER we presented IDs....And on top of the entire experience we were rushed out with the check promptly following our entrees without an offer of dessert or another drink. But all is well...We wont be back and I fully intend on letting as many people as possible know about this terrible experience, waste of gas, waste of time, waste of money and Nick P our server was a complete waste of space! Kinda hard not to feel racially discriminated against when I'm observing his interactions with other tables to be much more warm and friendly compared to the cold half arsed service we received being the only AA couple in the restaurant. The best thing this restaurant has to...
Read moreWe loved the special pretzels they bring to the table, and really enjoyed the "red fish" (very nicely done). The parmesan grits & (very sweet) Mississippi Sunset drink are good too. The iced tea is served sweet, so you have to ask for it unsweetened. They didn't provide any mustard or ketchup for the hamburger. Our server was nice, but low key (& totally forgot our green tomatoes order, with no apology). It was a hot day (95 high), but the temperature was nice at the top of this hotel, with misters & good shade. I'm afraid the busboys acted like zombies, and practically no staff cracked a smile (not even the hostesses, which was wacky, since they're supposed to be the guest-welcome team). We're from Austin, so we were surprised at the deadness of the staff. We were also surprised that every drink & fillup came with a new cup & straw! The world definitely doesn't need straws, and that message needs to make it to Mississippi. I'm afraid each straw had paper at the end of it (to cover the tip), which I've not seen anywhere (in the world). Since we're on a high roof, all the paper goes flying off with the breeze. Please, please, please, stop providing straws with your drinks (unless some woman with a lot of lipstick requests it? ;-) ) & try to fill up existing cups with water (rather than leaving tables with 10 glasses of ice at the end of a meal). And please keep making those AMAZING pretzels &...
