Interesting 1st time experience, our family was looking for something different for dinner. So we called in an order, 3 burgers with fries, onion rings, and sweet potato fries, a chicken fried steak with mash and a salad. It'll be ready in 15 minutes or so... Left the house to go pick up, "we stay roughly in the center of town" arriving we noticed "they have a drive thru" we got in line with only 1 car in front of us. Waited our turn, pulling up to the window the young lady asks, "name of the order please" we give our name and she replies, "im sorry what name" we repeated ourselves , she says one sec please..... Comes back to the window and asks what the order was, so we told her 3 burgers plus chicken fried steak... She looked puzzled, "just a minute plz" she said... Returning to the window shes perplexed and says out loud "is there an impostor?" We laughed and said "huh?" She then tells us the vehicle in front of us said the same name paid and took our order we were like "no way" this has never happened, after a little more back and forth and us informing the young lady that its our first time, she said they are going to remake the entire order for us if we could wait and park in front at cone 1. We parked and decided to grab a tea, they would not let us pay for the tea and repeatedly apologized to us for the confusion. No big deal we both said... Got our order "freshly made" and headed home laughing it up about the miss hap... Sitting down to eat the entire family tore it up. Food was "as promised" fantastic! I highly recommend Double J Eatery, not only is the food good but the customer service is by far above the best. Thank you to all the young ladies who helped us and thank you to the cooks for doing it twice. Y'all are the best and we will definitely be back. Signed The...
Read moreMy family used to order from here every Friday night until something happened and the majority of our orders would be incomplete or incorrect. The staff was unapologetic about it every time and often asked us to pay to swap out things for items we originally ordered. One time the drive thru told us they'd accidentally given our order to someone else and asked us to park. We sat for over 40 minutes before going inside to discover they'd forgotten we were out there! The last straw happened a few weeks ago when we ordered chicken fried steaks only to receive chicken fried chicken. We were also missing extra gravies we ordered and were charged for ranch dressing instead, which we didn't order. The boy who took our order chuckled about the mistakes and the cashier didn't apologize and asked us to pay for the extra gravies when they charged us for ranch we didn't even want. So they give us the wrong condiment and want to make us pay extra for the correct one? Why does a customer pay for a restaurant's mistake? The cashier also rolled her eyes when we mentioned this. Unfortunately the food is good but it's a damn shame...
Read moreCame in with my father in law, he ordered chicken fried steak, and I chose the second item down which was supposed to be chicken fried chicken. They bring out our orders and his steak was so large it needed a second plate. That's impressive.
Then comes my order and I thought it might be a joke.. because that does not look like pics I see online of this chicken. It looked more like a chicken patty and was maybe 6 oz of chicken? He took one look and cut one end off his steak and put it on my plate. (see the picture of the small piece of steak he put on my plate, which is almost the size of the chicken I received.
Did you run out of your normal chicken?
The staff was friendly, and it was a Saturday night. The chicken did not taste bad, but it did not even look like the same breading as you use. Really disappointed. I just had to laugh because I know this is an anomaly... maybe that was the last piece and a half order?
Please do better, because that dish cost exactly the same as the steak.. it does...
