Los Pollos Bros — Restaurant in Victorville

Chicken is ok, not as good as El Pollo Loco though. Choice of sides is weak, my side salad consisted of finely shredded lettuce and cheese like you may find on tacos and a tomato slice in a styrofoam cup and a packet of dressing. The breast meat was so dry I could barely choke it down. My wifes nacho's looked like they were from 7-Eleven with the exception that there was shredded chicken on them. They were covered in canned nacho cheese and a handful of pickled jalapeno slices thrown on it all. Our waitress/bartender served us 4 weak margaritas of which a large amount of the salt that should have been on the rim was in the bottom of the glass and too salty to drink the last of. When she served the drinks all but mine had a wedge of lime on the rim, which didn't matter to me, but all of a sudden she walk away, picked up my missing lime off the bar where it fell right next to the elbow of the only other customer in the building, came back and stuck it on the rim of my glass. I didn't say anything because I figured it probably had been through worse before it got that far anyways. We all order waters and it tasted like there was detergent in it. I will say the waitress/bartender was nice, but she disappeared after the food was served so we didn't have much interaction. I truly Love this business! We have been customers of Pollo Bros for years, since they were still Juan Pollo. They have always had great service and even better fresh food! But recently I have learned to have an even better appreciation for the owners. They hands down hire the best employees and give the best training and customer service policies. I have been to the Apple Valley location a few times since it's opening and the girls are always upbeat, patient, and friendly. You never feel rushed at the window when taking time to order. They never seem irritated or like they don't want to be there. Always friendly and willing to make substitutions. Just overall a great environment and great people! So thank you for creating a great overall experience every time. You are appreciated! PS. My cousin that lives in says you need to open up a restaurant in their area. He Loves the food. We took a few family meals out to him one day and we all devoured it. They crave Pollo Bros every time we speak. He has kidney health issues and is on dialysis waiting for a donor and can only eat certain foods. Chicken being one! I haven't seen him in over a year because of everything going on. Terrible service, my mom went in today 03/31/2024 at around 4:30pm the guy with the colored hair was extremely rude. He had the chairs up and ready to close up shop. My mom offered to put a chair down so she could eat a chicken meal. My mom told the guy with the colored hair that she would eat fast and be out of the restaurant in no time. The guy with the colored hair was extremely rude and told my mom no is no in a rude tone, and said we’re about to close. my mom had called early to see if pollo bros was going to be open due to Easter. When she called they had said that they would be open until 7pm. How is it that she walked in at around 4:30pm and was not able to sit down and order a chicken meal.
