Read moreLove the Vienna Inn. I first came here on Thursday September 24, 1992 after a failed attempt to take 3 friends up to the O’s game thanks to a faulty Alternator. We broke down on 395 North just past the lowest point elevation-wise in DC. After walking a distance to a Pay Phone to call a tow truck, the car was towed and a friend picked us up, and the decision was made by the others to bail on our attempt to see the O's and just go meet up with friends at the Vienna Inn, a regular stop for them since 1990. The others all lived in Vienna and I lived in Falls Church at the time. Lots of memories made at the Vienna Inn since that fateful night of my first visit and it changed my life forever. From there I regularly went to the Vienna Inn on Thursdays with the group, perhaps 40 to 45 weeks every year, through marriages, babies, different jobs, and moves out of town. I moved to South Carolina in 2022 and every visit back to Virginia my priority visit besides family is meeting up with our Thursday night group at the Vienna Inn. The last visit was Thursday February 22. Fries, Beers are the early staples to go with conversation and laughs. Dinner for me there is typically a self titled “Crisco” Burger… which is a bacon cheeseburger with American Cheese and a fried egg on top cooked to squirt in my eye on the first bite and we add a Grilled Jalapeno on the side. This visit I just went with a Cheeseburger which never disappoints. Picture included. Also love to site along the wall of photos on the wall that parallels 123. Marty the owner and his top notch crew of VI staff are always so kind and attentive. The place is a Vienna original and stands the test of time. Always...
Read moreI took my daughter and my disabled mother-in-law to this restaurant today and I was totally embarrassed that I had chosen this restaurant within 5 minutes of walking in the door. The atmosphere was totally chaotic! My elderly mother-in-law (who uses a walker) was barely able to get to our table due to the poor quality of flooring & the crammed together tables and she was not able to get any access to the ladies bathroom which was up 2 very steep steps! Also both bathrooms were very "uncomfortably close" to tables where people were eating their food. Which caused me to worry about how sanitary that area of the dining room was! The restaurant interior looked like it would not pass a health inspection. The service was absolutely terrible. Our waitress only came to our table once during our whole lunch. The food was adequate but nothing special. Patrons (even the handicapped ones) are expected to get up to cross the restaurant and fix their own beverages. At the end of our meal we were left sitting at our table for quite awhile waiting for our check...only to find out after a 20 minute wait that you do NOT receive a check but have to go up to a register to pay. It would have been very nice if any of the restaurant staff would have come by our table to tell us this instead of ignoring us. So in closing..I DEFINITELY will NOT eat at the restaurant again nor will I recommend it to...
