DeVine Wine and Cocktail Bar — Restaurant in Villa Park

Noticed this wine bar while eating at More across the street, and decided to go in for a night cap last night with the lady. Wow! Worst wine bar “De Vine” ever in my life. There is no listing for this place, no website. Their menus were designed by someone who doesn’t know wine because literally 4 of them are misspelled - and as a wine bar that makes you look just amateur. The bartender was non stop bashing this place, said he hasn’t seen the owner in weeks and that” she doesn’t know anything about wine!” Took my girl here for a date night and ordered a bottle- he didn’t even present the bottle correctly or offer a taste first. Seriously? He clearly has zero experience and doesn’t know anything about wine presentation either. Is this a wine bar or a dive bar? Laughable. No food. No Chartcuterie boards either because “the owner keeps forgetting to make them” is what he stated. This yogi bear sounding server was a joke. I’ll never be back. Pretty awful when your staff is more focused on complaining about the owners then they are on customer service. This guy was non stop bashing Debbie Demito on everything. He even said she doesn’t care about this place because she’s a millionaire and can’t even remember her own brother’s name because she does drugs….. why is he telling me this?!?! I’m on a date man. I love this option as a nice change of pace from the bars in the area. The mellow vibe makes this a great place to visit when you'd like a glass of wine when you want to relax and have good conversations with your friends that you can actually hear.

The options are good. The prices are reasonable. The customer service is stellar. I've been multiple times. And I will be again,...
