Giannoni's Deli — Restaurant in Village of Scarsdale

Years ago I heard that the greatest place to get incredible breakfasts and lunches was at a place called “ Nonni’s “ on Garth Road just off Popham Road in Scarsdale. Scott, who is the owner opens at 5:30 in the morning and many of his customers ( including me) will call in route to work to order breakfast or lunch so that we’ll be in for an outstanding meal when we take a break! They also have table seating and when I wander in at 7am to pick up my order, I’m very envious of the folks who are eating their breakfasts! The owner(scott) is what keeps people coming back. Just today while I waited Scott:

Gave back 20 dollars when a kid had overpaid thinking he paid 40 instead of 60. A mom came in and paid for her order because her son had come in earlier that morning and picked up food without any cash. Told two long time customers no charge - the deli accidently made the sandwhiches on rolls instead of heros so no charge. He had to force them to leave without paying.

This was all within 10 minutes. Hope this place stays in business for the next 100 years. The food is great, and they should do an article on him...

I’m angry at myself for never given this place a chance until last week. I’ve been missing out on great food and service for years.

I’ve been looking for a new deli for a while because most charge diabolical prices these days which I’m not willing to pay...not here though. I also met the owner who was super kind. 10/10 experience.
