Jackie B's — Restaurant in Village of Scarsdale

8:00 PM, Wednesday night, June 8th 2022. My associate Andrew S and I walk up to Jackie B’s restaurant with one thing on our minds, hamburgers. At that point we were two innocent souls, unaware of the horrors that were soon to follow. 8:10 PM, Andrew and I walk up to the side counter and put our orders in. I order a double cheeseburger (with bacon) and my associate orders a peanut butter milkshake (small) as well as a single cheeseburger. Still than we were two innocent souls, untainted by the mind numbing wait that would soon shatter our perception of reality. 8:20 PM, Andrew and I continue to wait patiently for our order still undisturbed by the seemingly reasonable wait time. Andrew’s milkshake comes out and we are optimistic. We could not have been more wrong. 8:30 PM, Andrew and I sit whilst continuing our wait at the side tables. Still, the wait time seems reasonable albeit on the longer side for a burger. 8:45 PM, Andrew and I sit with growing impatience as our ravenous stomaches growl with anguish. Our fractured minds begin to wonder whether or not our order had been forgotten, withered away like we were soon bound to be. 9:00 PM, Andrew and I are finally handed our meals. Service date 11-7-24 2 hours before closing. I'm from Florida. My boyfriend is born and raised new York. We came back last minute for a life scary reason regarding his dad. So I'm used to everything being laid back and casual and of course I found nothing about new York common with home until tonight. I was near panic attack and we stopped in to this place and although the decor was all too modern the bartender working quickly welcomed us in and settled us in with some easy conversation. We ordered a couple glasses of wine and before you knew it he was introducing us to Brandon who is another local and we made quick friends. 2024 was a turbulent year for me in Florida, from the fires in spring to all the hurricane activities. This unexpected health scare to new York and dropping in to this wonderful gem was just what I needed. Florida is the hospitality state and I believe the bartender at Jackie b's could retire if he could sell his craft in a bottle. The atmosphere is welcoming, we did not eat however we saw people eat their entire plates in 4 minutes flat, and the food is a lot! Sammy, if you are reading this. First time here was yesterday and damn was everything good. I know most people won't even give this place a chance, especially since it's classified as a bar, but honestly you're missing out.

Yes, inside might have limited seating if your bringing a big group (say more then 6) but there's definitely room available I would say from when they open till late Sunday to Wednesday, can't speak for Thursday to Saturday, because I'm sure it's packed with locals and others wanting to drink, eat and watch some sports.

Getting back to the food and drink; I can tell you it definitely surprised me. Everything we had was just damn good. This is bar food done right! The drinks were delicious as well and honestly the staff was just awesome. I would come here again just because of the service and food... And I will be going back very soon.
