Curry Leaf Indian Grill — Restaurant in Vinings

Came here for the lunch buffet, but for some reason they didn't have it...ok, guess I'll order take out from the menu. I went with Chicken Tikka Masala, that's my go to Indian dish. It came out to $14...that's a bit expensive imo, I'm used to and was expecting less than $12, especially for lunch, but whatever, "it's a new place, it has good reviews, it's got to be good", or so I thought. Got back, opened up the bag, found out it didn't come with any eating utensil, and it didn't come with a plate or bowl large enough mix everything in...I'm thinking at this point "I paid $14 this?...it better be good", boy was I wrong. Not only is it expensive, not only does it not come with any of the necessary things needed to eat it, IT ALSO DOESN'T EVEN TASTE THAT GOOD. Granted, that's not to say it's bad, it's just worse than all other tikka masla I've had, including Whole Food's pick-it-yourself chicken tikka masala, which is cheaper, and that's saying something. It's sour, I don't think it should be, maybe they thought it's a good idea to add tomatoes or vinegar. Maybe it's just gone bad, either way, I'm not too surprised at this point.

I think it's safe to say I will not be coming back after this, I've also told my coworkers about my experience here on top of this review. Hopefully, more people/foodies will see this...

This restaurant really has wish of getting shut down or what! I just checked reviews and it’s really worrisome as they get away by normally apologising. Anyways I ordered paneer tikka masala and a butter naan. Check the pictures instead what I got. They gave me garlic naan which is $3.49 whereas butter naan is less priced though they dared to gave me and charged for the wrong order. The naan means bread was not cooked properly and wasn’t chewable and it was damn cold. Not only this but the curry is not paneer tikka masala as I was ordered and have receipt also. Please check picture it’s yellow curry taste like methi malai mutter masala so they used totally different curry for this. It supposed to be read or a bit of orange colored as look wise.

Upon calling back to them they complained of voice over call which seems common across many reviews for misplacing and bad food practices. They offered me free naan means bread upon next order which means they expect customer to pay full price for next order and then I will get additional naan which I don’t even need.

Today I ordered food at 9:10 from an Indian cuisine and walked into this restaurant. Once I got to the restaurant (9:30pm) and explained I made a to go order already, it slowly became more obvious that I confused myself and embarrassingly went to the wrong restaurant. Instead of looking at me in disappointment for walking in at closing time and into the wrong restaurant, they received me with open arms and gladly made the food that I ordered from the other restaurant. They also called the other restaurant to let them know of the situation and to not expect my arrival anymore. Curry Leaf took care of me to an extent you don’t see anywhere else. Seriously. I walked into the wrong restaurant at their literal closing time and they took out the things to prepare my butter chicken. The man at the front counter, thank you. You’re awesome my friend and as well as the gentlemen who made my food. I appreciate you a ton and I will definitely buy and recommend your restaurant to everyone. AND THE FOOD? Amazing!
