Yesterday, on June the 15th, I took a trip with me and my wife to eat at Pappasito's Cantina hoping for a great experience. However, it all went downhill the minute I stepped into this establishment. While entering into the building, the first thing I noticed about the restaurant was the smell. I can't explain the odor in deep description yet it was a very strong odor that it made my wife feel nauseous. In the end I convinced her into staying so we could enjoy the food, yet we should have gone with our second option right after leaving. Another thing to point out was the floors, the floors looked as if it wasn't swept. Their was trash all over the place and spills of whatever on the floor. Some parts of the floor were also sticky while walking through the restaurant to get to the bathroom. The bathroom is also another story but ill get to that in the end.
While waiting for our reservation, which took a good 2 hours, I kept on asking the hosts up front how much longer the wait will be. Yet every time I went up to ask, the responses were short and it made me question, Where the hell is management at? I asked one of the hosts jokingly if their were any managers present to assist them, their response were "No, they aren't present most of the time." I asked them to give me the name of their manager which they replied with Logan. I tried getting Logan's attention for an update on the tables, yet her responses were quick, as if she was dodging the question and the people who have been waiting for a very long time. Very poor service, it makes me wonder, is everyone who works in this establishment also like this as well?
After the wait, I was attended by JY. He was responsible with bringing my food and my drinks. For the first couple of minutes everything was fine, he received us with a great attitude and said hi, however, that all went downhill after we received our drinks which took a good hour. Usually getting someone's drinks should be fast, I don't know how it would take an hour to get someone's drink. Afterwards he started taking our order, while taking our order, it felt as if he wasn't paying attention to what we were asking for. He kept fidgeting with his lipstick, and it felt as if he was just choosing not to listen. The good thing is we got what we ordered, yet I would have loved to have been attended by someone else.
While waiting for my food I had the urges to use the restroom, inside the restroom was a disappointment. The restroom looked so unclean and unsanitary. The toilets were full of toilet paper and the floors were wet. No "caution when walking" signs were up while I entered the bathroom which could have led to a lawsuit if I slipped or it could have been by another customer who would have suffered the irresponsible action of an employee not finding a solution to this problem. Another thing to add was the AC, which made the restaurant feel like a sauna. I asked around to other servers what the issue was with the AC, their response was "currently it is not working at the moment." Due to the heat, me and my wife were sweating profoundly, and we questioned if the other employees/guests in the restaurant felt this as well. I asked the other guests around me and they agreed with me. I apologize and sympathize to all of the hard working employees who have to put up with this. Their is no way yall have to put up with this just because the restaurant had no measurements to put in place in case something like this occurred. Especially with this Georgia heat, which feels like 100 degrees.
Overall, this was the worst first experience I've ever had coming into a restaurant. It's sad to see an establishment like this go downhill. It's worse seeing that not even management can be their to help the employees out. All I can say now is with an establishment like this, I wouldn't be surprised if it shuts down. Everything about this place was unsanitary, even the food and the aftermath of eating the food. I wouldn't be surprised if the food score went down since its currently...

Read moreI’m a little late getting this review out. We went to Pappasito’s on August 24th. I have found if you want to get a table in a popular restaurant here 5:00-5:30 is the sweet-spot! We arrived on time and waited about 10 minutes to be seated.
Our server was friendly, and engaged in some fun and silly conversation with me; she was attentive and d checked on us frequently even though the restaurant was getting very busy. What I was really craving was some GOOD ceviche (without having to drive all over the ATL. Our server recommended the Snapper ceviche. It’s served as an appetizer in a big martini glass. Y’ALL!! If ceviche is your JAM..you MUST GO HERE! It was flavorful, tangy, a tiny bit tart, and the marinade didn’t overpower any of the seafood! The ceviche was a 10!
(Y’all know that I’d normally have prices in my review, but Pappasito’s online menu doesn’t have prices).
I had the Beef & Chicken Fajita w/flour tortillas. The picture on the menu was blown up (I presumed so you could see the details of what the dish comes with? I was WRONG)!! When our food arrived, I was stunned at how much food there was!! Y’all! The pictures are blown up because that’s EXACTLY what you’re getting on your plate! Not gonna lie, it was a nice surprise!! My dinner came with charra beans, rice (which I don’t like), guac, pico de gallo, and tortillas. I don’t know who worked the menu, but..I think I love them!! Everything was flavorful, the beef was tender and a little smokey, as was the chicken. The meal was a 10! I ordered a strawberry margy that was big enough for a small village, and that was a Regular Size! All the flavors were balanced, not too sweet, & nice and cold. My Only complaint is that there wasn’t much alcohol in it (if at all)! By now, you all know that I am VERY sensitive to alcohol, so if I don’t feel it..it’s because it’s not there.
There was SO MUCH leftovers between my husband and me that I was able to make a meal for 2 days after. Our bill was about $120 before tip. We’ve dined at places where the food was half as good and 3 times more expensive.
All in all, I’d still rate our dining...
