Dunkin' — Restaurant in Virginia Beach

Normally i love Dunky Dunks. The New Englander in me usually lights up with joy upon passing a Dunkin and this morning was no exception until...So I head to Dunkin to get a coffee and some donuts for my Bosses birthday. I leave early and head to get in line. I manage to pull into the parking lot with minimal time spent on the busy street waiting which is like a miracle so I am excited and thinking it is going to be a great Friday. I get to the speaker and place my order, Lg hot coffee with cream, Lg caramel macchiato, 2 jelly donuts and a 50 ct assorted munchkin - It is my bosses birthday so I was getting him coffee/donut and some to share with the team. The female employee that took my order was sweet and efficient. she gave me a total of 20.13. I retrieve a twenty dollar bill from my wallet and 1 quarter. I arrive at the window in record time (still thinking today is going to one of those days we cherish as adults because the universe is aligning in all the right ways today) and a gentleman proceeds to hand me what I think is coffee one - I place it in my cup holder and hand him my twenty dollar bill and one quarter - the display at the window even shows this total. The dude never speaks to me takes my money and immediately hands me a dozen donuts. I don't move. There I am hands out the window of my truck holding onto the box of a dozen donuts still partially inside the window of the Dunkin and say are these my munchkins? Thinking maybe they ran out of munchkin boxes and improvised. I would have been okay with that. He says NO, it is the dozen donuts you ordered. I say I didn't order a dozen dounts, i ordered (repeating my order back to him) a Lg hot coffee with cream, a Lg Caramel Macchiato, 2 jelly donuts and a 50 ct assorted munchkins, and I am again told that is not what they rung me up for. I said a dozen donuts and a coffee does not equal 20.13 to which he says yes it does that is what they rung you up for. I hand him back the donuts and coffee and say just give me money back. mind you the entire time he has not gone to the register. He is holding my twenty dollar bill and quarter. He says okay then goes to the register and hands me 15.78 out the window and says here you go. WHAT??!! Here I go - here I go what exactly? Here you go - not only did we not give you the right thing but we were rude and now we are ripping you off. I leave the drivethru window and pull up to go inside (which lets face it if I had wanted to go inside I would have done that originally but because the parking lot is a poor design and no one wants to get trapped in the parking spot by the drive thru line I NEVER go inside). I head inside and up to the counter where I proceed to ask for a manager. Mind you I am hot at this point, not only did I not get what I ordered I was treated rudely at the window and was ripped off, the woman behind the counter says there is no manager on duty but you can talk to so and so who is name is lost in translation thru the thickness of her accent and she begins to speak in Spanish and then another male employee approaches the counter and says you need to pick this money up off the counter and go the pick up window so I can serve these other quests. WHAT!!!!!!! Wow - great customer service there Dunky Dunks. I do as I am told progressively becoming more upset the longer I have to wait and the more rudely I am treated by additional staff. A young man comes to me and immediately apologizes to me about the wait and I explain to him what happened and that I just want my money back. He apologizes to me and says that they had a car drive off and that the whole drive thru had been a mess and take the 15.78 I was given and gives me my 20.25. To which here is what I am thinking - if you knew the drive thru was a mess WHY DID YOU NOT FIX IT? Why did you think it was okay to continue on and have employees treat customers this way. This Dunkin' Donuts is located at the corner of General Booth Blvd. and Oceana Blvd. Even though the address is on General Booth Blvd., you can only enter and exit through one spot which is on the Oceana Blvd. side. Parking can be limited at times, especially when the place is busy. The traffic is all one way, so you would have to go around the drive through to exit as well, but the day I was there it was a little odd to get out because it seems like you had to go into the ordering line a bit just in order to exit.

I haven't been to a Dunkin' Donuts in several years. I ended up coming here for breakfast since I had a gift card from T-Moblie Tuesdays that was expiring the following day. My visit here was on January 2, 2019.

Getting in and parking wasn't bad this time since it was around 10 am when I visited. After parking and coming inside, I was the only patron in there at the time. I was immediately greeted at the counter and the plan was to get a Bacon, Egg, and Cheese bagel. I ended up with getting two instead since it was on special (the dog was happy when I got home with it). After a minute or two the order was ready and I was on my way home.

After getting home, I had the bacon, egg, and cheese bagel for breakfast. The bagel sandwich was very good. The only thing is that they seemed to have toasted the bagel a little too long. The second that I had gotten for the dog was the same way as well.

In the end, the service was good and the food was okay. There wasn't anything special about it, but everything was done as one would expect for a place like this. They may want to consider the traffic flow on the property as well. Overall, if you're looking for a quick bite or drink, this place could still fit that...

First i want to say i was very excited to see they were opening a new dd near my area considering there arnt many around here... One my friwt visit there went decent nothing to complain about that was the week they opened... Now for the past three days i have been there for happy hour day one it was okay just felt a lil rushed along day two there was a lady serveing me from the window mind u she was very friendly but she had issues with a cup leaking so she proceeded to make me a new drink all while two management lookin ladies i say that because they were dreased more dressy anyways they were carrying on conversation then one proceeded to the window with an attitude she ask am i waiting for aomthing i tell her yes my drink as she rolls her eyes and says why does she i guess the black woman serving me always mess up ... I then said to her she had a leakage shes trying and i laughed it off she juat walked off with a tude and i thanked the other woman and was on my way okay day three TODAY i ordered a green tea got to thw window to find out its hot so i asked if we can make it a cold one so they did by pouring this hot tea on ice witch obviously melted the ice and made it water tea .... Juat hasnt been the best experience I know the place has great potential it looks like an amazing spot for it but it needs better people in there running it and a lot more...
