Flaming Japan — Restaurant in Virginia Beach

I have been going to this sushi restaurant for years - since they opened. And one would think that as many visits there that they would have some level of appreciation or at least that they would get the order correct. They are notorious for giving very little sauce, a small portion of ginger for 3 sushi rolls - enough to cover 2 or 3 pieces of only one roll, very little soy sauce. You have to ask for extra because they unreasonably give you so little and then they charge you for the extra amount. Today they charged me for extra sauce but did not give me extra sauce. In fact, they gave me very little sauce and only 1 soy sauce for 3 rolls. Again, 1 container of ginger and only a few pieces in the container - certainly not enough for 3 rolls. I will not go back. Their stinginess will cost them. Do they realize they lose hundreds when they upset customers when the extra soy sauce or ginger might costs pennies at cost value. we come here once a week and when I tell you, the food is absolutely amazing every single time we come the food is so good. We always do takeout fresh and flavorful bursting with so many different flavors and the vegetables always cook perfectly but one thing I will always say is I get told to come pick it up in 10 minutes and I’m standing there for 45 minutes waiting for my food to be done and I feel like they’re kind of overpriced because of the fact that sometimes we don’t want vegetables but we still get charged for it when other meals if you don’t want vegetables, you can ask for double rice or double meat or they’ll take a couple dollars off for the vegetables. The lady in the front does not know what she’s doing at all. I asked for Yum Yum sauce and she gave me spicy mayo when I get home I would sit, but it is what it is other than that the food is great atmosphere is terrible. It’s very dirty in there. I really enjoy the tuna avocado roll. I have now ordered a couple of times and both times the food was very good. They have a great combo special. The sushi rolls are have been what I expected based off name/description, and are not just all rice. For those of you familiar to the area, the have have chicken teriyaki that looks similar to Lynnhaven malls Sakura (haven't tried it, but if judging by how many people are ordering it, it must be pretty good).

I've only ordered take out but there are tables for sit down service. I believe that its counter service and not table service. Staff has been friendly and courteous.
